I can't imagine some gal saying "My highest aspiration in life is to get pregnant & turn into a pearbody while chasing little crumbsnatchers all thru the house!" Just another day I'm glad I'm a guy.:p;)
(BTW, Congrats!)
Lol... Well... That was my aspiration... Now I have a tiny "crumb snatcher" :) she's coming along nicely, and has already learned how to snatch crumbs and everything :p

As much as people like to say it's not, many a marriage has taken place because of CC......several relationships that didn't lead to marriage that I'm aware of too. That's not specifically why it's here, but hey why protest?

FINE!!!! lol :D

Saying that this isn't a dating site is like saying that firetrucks are red. Christian chat isn't indicative of a dating site at all? It even says next to the website banner, live international fellowship.

So this isn't a dating site. Your point?

Using the internet as a medium for dating is not a good idea. Go out into the real world and be less dependent on technology. Anyone can type up a message for someone else, just like I'm doing. Real interaction and communication with people requires effort and a time investment. It also leaves more room for error, and no room for copy-paste. It's the safest bet there is to finding someone you care about.

That's assuming you want to. I don't care for a relationship. I just like this website and I enjoy talking to Christian people here, and elsewhere ;)
I found my wife on cyberspace in 2002. We had a beautiful and enduring marriage. I think that it is a very good way to meet someone, but that is just me. I will excuse your harsh attitude as you are young and inexperience on what is required to form, sustain and grow a healthy relationship. This very much can be a place to meet that special someone, the actual dating will follow, no, not on this site but someplace more private and intimate. I am surmising that you would not know about these things either.

I was married 5 years to someone i met on matchmaker back in 2003. A real marriage, with all of its flaws and all of its romance and beauty. With real families on both end getting to know eachother and sharing Christmas, holidays, joys and sorrows, being by eachother's side at hospital stays and graduations. Nothing shallow about meeting online, what matters is the heart and the sincerity on both ends. This is 2014 man, get an upgrade! :)

(ps: i'm not saying this should be your only objective in life or in joining a place like CC, as christians we first seek fellowship and how we can be of help to the body, God gives what he wants and i do believe it's for Him to give marriage, not for us to try and grab). God bless.

Well well tourist, young perhaps, but inexperienced, far from it sir. Such bold statements without knowing the first thing about the man you are speaking of.. that's very brazen of you. Let's just say I've witnessed first hand how finding your significant other in cyberspace isn't ideal.

I find it very erroneous on your part to assume so much, for one who is so experienced and seasoned in these things which, according to you sir, I know nothing about.

You are right though, I would not know about meeting someone on the internet and dating them, as I have approached real women I had genuine feelings for and took a chance in asking them to go on a date with me. That boosted my confidence far more than sending a message to someone sitting behind a computer screen ever could. So for me, I'll stick to the real world. What works for me may not work for others, I get it. It's the 21st century, things are different yeah? Guess I'm just old-fashioned.

Every place is game for potential dating dont let anybody convince you otherwise they are completely wrong. People can meet online, at church, grocery store, sky diving, while in surgery, during an avalanche lol...anywhere is potentially game to meet someone.... ANYWHERE lol
