Are we really that bad? LOL!
There are some who are. I can assure you they're just not nice to be around so of course I'll avoid them. Call it a gut feeling or illumination by Holy Spirit but I know. To balance it there a guys that are just the same.

There are bound to be women who think I'm not nice to be around either.

See there? The gift of singleness. :)
I wish I had the gift of singleness.

I thought I did, when I was very young.

Then as I got older, at the age of 5, I fell madly in love with a girl in kindergarten.
I knew right then I didn't have the gift.

I wanted to buy her a diamond ring.
My father thought I should slow down.
He was so wise...
it didn't last.

It's Sept. 13th.

Over a week left of summer, so, I wonder, with summer almost gone, does it make one want to vote 'yes' or 'no' more now ??

County fairs . Guys , gals that hooked up summer and are now eligible again, looking. I wonder. Fall, too. There is something about FALL THAT SCREAMS, 'NEW BEGINNINGS.'

And, to think, it's still summer :D

You need to NOW give God a chance, not girls a chance, and, see what happens, be careful then, because you just never know how God may work your heart over and 'surprise' you, Firesecured :) The Lord leads
How do you know it's Gods will that I should be married? I firmly believe I am to remain unmarried and this is Gods will.

I've don't regret being single and don't think about getting married. Being told that I wasn't good enough was just incidental and circumstantial in some cases.

This is what Paul said:

[SUP]7[/SUP]Yet I wish that all men were even as I myself am. However, each man has his own gift from God, one in this manner, and another in that.

I'm quite happy to remain unmarried for as long as I have on this earth. Some women have said I "don't get it". No of course I don't so guess what I must have the gift. The gift of singleness therefore must be foreign or undecipherable to those who wish to be married and they won't understand it anymore than I understand why I supposedly need to get married.

A counsellor told me a while ago now that I have SPD according the DSM. I thought what I load of bunk and this from a christian one. At the end of it she thought she had "fixed" me and should go flatting with females. No, not going to happen.

I have been really blessed by God and can live by myself without financial problems despite living in a city where house prices are some of the highest in the world. Many people have to either get married or live together to survive. Those that don't find it really hard.

The Lord leads, wiredwithHisfire, just follow Him is all we are asked to do, some are to 'burn' differently for Him in life :)
It is "better to marry than burn," Scripture says. 'Burn' is a word that's quite inflammatory, can be, anyway. None of us wants to burn no matter what the true definition of that word is by Paul in 1 Corinthians 7.

This means that some SHOULD, indeed, marry, but, God is good and His Word in Scripture to us is clear and His will upon our life and things going on are clear, too, for us to see.

Sometimes, a thread, is a tough one to write and I pray, like I said a few posts earlier, that no one sees this post in any sense except how God will best bless you and Love you and keep you in Him.

That's the bottom line: We want to stay our lives living His way for us. You will KNOw from Him IF a certain someone is
perfect for you to get through whatever He wants you to go through in life. So..... don't follow anyone else, but Him and whatever circumstances are in your life they are His for you and if a girl sprouts up , or , guy, great. If not, great, too, for God knows the plans He has for us, plans for good and not evil, plans with a future and a hope. We are to look for Him and then we will find Him and this is only WHEN we seeK Him with all our heart's desire that is after Him :)

Re: Seriously, WHO are you? YOUR AGE & single still ! What gives? What's the reason W

Whilst I agree with you GreenNice that is exactly what I am doing. Following Gods will.

I'm certainly not burning. You know I've never really chased women. If I did it was half-hearted (maybe even quarter-hearted). I simply have no drive or even compulsion to because I don't need to. Is the gift of singleness? It may well be.

I don't agree with a girl just sprouting up as if out of thin air. As we know in proverbs "he who finds a wife finds a good thing". This implies some work needs to be done and initiative on the part of the man. This is not a reference to passivity. Let me know since I might've misinterpreted this.

Makes sense? And, I'm not trying to guilt/shame anyone, I simply did this thread, like I hope, pray I do all my threads, for His glory and for your understanding of His 'convicting' will upon your Christian life :)

So, if single-for-life is your hyphenated noun mantra, so be it. Maybe, it's mine. I don't know, I just keep on keeping on, doing the best I can to perfectly follow His will for my life.

And, I did a thread in the bible discussion forum recently titled, 'What is the perfect will of God' :)

Read it, and, if not it, then, think about that question a bit and think about it for your life.

I always say, 'The Lord leads,' but what is meant by this is that we follow Him, and, I don't just mean just any such normality of following Him, because Peter, James, Matthew, Luke, ahem, The Twelve, did not have normality whatsoever following Him. There lives, ALL, were made a point of being the STRuGgle of following Him. Like asking out a girl, which is 'death' to a lot of guys, the mere thought of it, squidigies up there heebie-jeebies , :D but, yeah, ALL TWELVE were MARTYRED, KILLED, for the cause of Christ, not backing down for Him .

Will you :)
