Actually it's more like hyper-social media. With regular society no matter what you do there will always be people around to disapprove and disparage. With social media it is the same, only more so. More people disapprove and they do so more strenuously and vehemently.

...makes for a great way to mine data on participants though. The 3-letter agencies are happy so many people use Facebook. Makes it so easy for them to sort, classify, and categorize people.

I like the irony of posting this on an online forum.

I believe you are then classified as non-existent. Didn't you know that everybody is on facebook?

This is true. Everybody is on facebook, so if I am not on facebook then I am not part of everybody. So I'm nobody! :D

(This is a good thing, btw. When you're nobody you get a lot less flak. And you have to do a lot less. And you don't have to spend three hours catching up with all your friends' posts.)

If it weren't for Facebook I wouldn't be in touch with my relatives in Sweden or Greece very much. So I'm grateful for it.

That gif reminds me of what you wish you could do when you have bad gas in a very public place. Unless, of course, you are more than happy to gag all those standing around you. LOL :D

I prefer to crop dust the grocery aisles in Wal Mart and let folks walk through it afterwards. Their reactions are kind of like someone swatting away an angry swarm of bees. It makes me giggle.

Its even better if you left a little old lady behind in the aisle to take the blame LOL

Even in the days of BBS they were still social media. We just didn't have an official term for "internet based social exchange" back in the day.

Do people still use Myspace?
Beats me. I never had the real Myspace.

I do have myspace though. It's this room with four laptops (currently) my 88 key MIDI keyboard, Altec Lansing imt810 speakers, stacks of CDs everywhere, record player, random flash drives here and there... it's MY space.
