Only that one time. And only because it was appropriate to the occasion. The photo can be referenced here:

We did the same theme concert the following season, and I went as a male native that time.

Alas, since I've cut all my hair off, I really can't pull it off any more. It's hard to tell from that angle, but the dress looked even more ridiculous because my shoulders are quite a bit broader than my waist, so I basically look like a walking martini glass in that dress.

I know, right? I'm always hyped when I see a fellow brony representing! If you're representing, why would you be all Fluttershy about it, yo?

I know right?

Loud and proud. Like this guy:

I hate cats. Hate 'em. Please don't ask why. I have my reasons. Yes, I may have a cat, but it I doubt it will be for much longer.

So, as I predicted, I do feel much better this morning (oh snap, it's not even morning anymore, where did the day go?). I really appreciate the encouraging words a couple of you shared with me, it helped :)

I think why I was so bothered last night is because it's rare that I feel really stupid. Well, no, I feel stupid a lot, but that's usually because I can't walk without smacking into walls (that have moved three feet from where they're supposed to be...this happens all the time, why doesn't anyone look into this?!) But, what I mean is, it's rare that I feel mentally just...inferior.

I didn't drop out of high school because I couldn't keep up, I dropped out because I didn't care about keeping up. I was lazy, and bored, and boy crazy. So I guess part of what I was feeling was a bit of regret that I wasted my time in school, when if I had bothered doing at least SOME of the work, I could have graduated, I could have gone on to college or...ok, I probably wouldn't have gone to college. But the point is, I was kicking myself for not being more educated and on a level with people I find interesting. I was feeling embarrassed that I haven't done more with my life.

But then I realized...

God has lead me into, or allowed me to be in, situations where I have been forced to learn, grow, and test my strength, faith, mind, physical abilities, loyalty, and capacity to love. Basically, I've received my education on the fly.

Anyway, once again, I feel silly...but only for having felt silly in the first place (and also because my hair is in pigtails, and also because there's a Ninja Turtles sticker stuck to my face).

WHO'S a weirdo? :p

And is the sticker from the first movie, the first cartoon, the 2003-20012 cartoon, the recent Michael Bay movie or the current Nickelodeon show?

Just because you are all weirdos doesn't mean I'm not a weirdo too :p
Though, now you mention it, I haven't changed my signature in a while and it's probably over due.

The sticker is from the Nickelodean show, which I have never seen, because TMNT should have been left alone after the original movies. The first cartoon, I can at least understand, it was popular, it made sense to make a cartoon. After that, they should have let it be :p

Believe me, the sadness is close to unbearable for me right now.
Sorry. I'll be praying for you, Lil.

so through a series of email exchanges I have committed to doing the Nutcracker again this Christmas season. I'm excited about many upcoming things, but I also thought "Has it been a year already?" I'm wondering what I've really accomplished this year. Looking back, I'm thinking...not a whole heckuvalot.

well this is just a little bit rich Catherder. So let's look back shall we? We won't go back too far - just a wee bit and pick up an accomplishment or two.....

1. seems i recall being taught to teach our children with a shepherd's rod in lieu of beating them with a stick
2. we sat for a bit with you to listen to an old disabled man sing an Irish folk song
3. you learned and taught a lesson when your dad and you didn't share a hike in the woods
4. you get up way to early to take a kid to soccer
5 you warned us about kale
6. you bragged a bit about our Lord God of Israel when an immediate prayer was answered
7. it had to be a real treat when you went bowling with the other disabled friend - and it was, we learned.
9. you taught us the difference between the givers and the takers
10. you'e from California and I still consider you a friend.

and that's just in the last month or so. So please, don't bore me.

Thanks guys! I guess I was thinking more about still not owning a place and not making any progress in my plans for world domination.

I really shouldn't feel so blue (maybe I should change my font color....naaaah!) Just today at work, I learned that I am in a training video for one of the departments.

I used to take a nonverbal gentleman to a line dance class, since he loved music. The video showed him trying to learn the steps and using a communication device to talk to the other dancers. He should have gotten the device years before, but had fallen through the cracks. I submitted his name to a local "wish list" kind of charity for the holiday season. He got the device through that, and through cooperation with another nonprofit group, we began training him on the device. The video also has me assisting him in ordering lunch with the device.

so....I guess I am getting things done in the Lord's time...thanks again for the reminders. cheers!

My thoughts from this past week:

"how the heck am I going to be able to survive full time school, studying and writing assignments for 5 months straight? If working full time for 5 days now is making me like this?"
