Never thought of that wisebeardman. That makes sense. It's still a pain. :)

- Just to add, even though my spiritual life is in shambles, I feel.... On the verge of a breakthrough.

yeah. after you have lived in a state for 180 days, then you are considered a resident of said state.

each state has its own rules. like the inspection stuff. Indiana don't do it outside of 4 counties, Marion,Hamilton,Lake,Porter. where I live no inspection. so if you moved here all you would have to do is bring in current dl, ss card, birth cert. and proof of address and also proof of insurance. and bang, new Dl and new plates.

Thoughts:

- I have lived here for almost 3 months now. It seems like I've been here forever. It's been a good transition, but like was mentioned earlier, I don't think I've fully felt that loss yet. I feel it randomly. It's strange.

- That being said, I've lived here for almost 3 months and haven't gotten my car plates changed to this state. I've definitely procrastinated on that. I need several documents and an inspection and etc, etc. Why does it have to be so hard? If my vehicle was clearly registered in Illinois, why can't I just transfer my plates to Missouri? Why do they need all this stuff??

- I might be changing churches.

- I tried an app called Tinder. Not a huge fan. Probably going to be done with it. Not my thing.

- Work is going well but it's stressful now that I have my assignment. I have to literally sit back, take deep breaths, re-group inside my mind, and then go back at it. I'm in the real world now. I've never really had a job with deadlines and stuff before.
I kept my New Mexico driver's licence after moving to El Paso for almost 3 years. Finally gave it up when an election year rolled around, and I had to register to vote. Also kept the New Mexico plates on the previous Shourmobile indefinitely; when I got the current Shourmobile, I had to get Texas plates. Bleh.

If you can fly under the radar, you can get by. You're busy, and it's an easy thing to forget. But when you get a free day, it's probably best to get that stuff done, just for the sake of staying legal. You know, Romans 13 and stuff.

God is more patient with us than we are with ourselves. We assume that if we fall, we aren't born again. If we stumble, then we aren't truly converted. If we have old desires, then we must not be a new creation. If you are anxious about this, please remember, "God began doing a good work in you, and I'm sure He will continue it until it is finished when Jesus Christmas comes again"(Philippians 1:6)

I'm pleased at the responses to the thread in the Bible Study discussion area. I am also very encouraged by those that came from here to show their love and support. I can see a lot of wheels turning at the topic. Including mine as there have been a lot of very informative posts to consider.
God certainly is awesome and when it is always exciting to see his spirit move within the body.

Jesus Christmas XD that's awesome! Jesus IS the reason that Christmas happened, so close enough, right? XD

Was falling asleep and then something popped into my mind and made me snicker.
Remember Crystal Pepsi in the early 90s, with the "Right Now" Van Halen song? Remember when SNL did a parody- Crystal gravy? hahahaha

I used to have some wooden shoes like that when I was a kid! My grandparents got them for me when they were over there. I wore those things until I grew too much to be able to cram my feet in them anymore.

There's something really awesome about having autocorrect change your last name to Hantivirus for you in a semi-important email.

Thread blocking would actually be really wonderful. I always start out on the main Singles page and read any thread with new posts in it, but it's a pain skipping over those I have no interest in. It bothers my OCD desire to check "every thread", too. :p

These days there are more I don't want to read than those I do. :( I miss discussion provoking questions, deep sharing of lives, and creative thinking.

(Would love more details on this date you mentioned Bugs!)
Yes, I miss the thought provoking threads too. We have had some good threads lately, which got me to thinking of how much I have been missing them. I enjoy some funny threads, but that's not the main reason i'm here. I've learned allot of great things the time that I've spent here, and it's just not the same anymore. :( I'm not very OCD though, so it doesn't bother me to only read two or three threads on the front page...

For the record, I rarely end up posing in the thinking type threads for two reasons. I haven't given much if any thought to most of the threads that come up, so I generally don't have much to share. The second reason being, I don't transfer my thoughts from my brain to paper well, it takes too much time and I lost my train of thought and key phrases easily. I'm getting better, but I'm an engineer so i'm forever cursed with not being able to write well. :p I've been thinking about starting a thread on forgiveness though...

As far as the date, I asked myself if I wanted to go to dinner and I accepted. haha I'm traveling by myself, and was reading an article about eating alone and it mentioned treating your date well. I thought the date concept was funny, and I did say I was still single, you just didn't see it. :p Eating alone was definitely far outside of my comfort zone, but asking a girl out is even farther out of my comfort zone. Someday...

Besides, even if I did ask a girl out, knowing my luck i'd probably end up really liking her seeing as i'm 2000 miles from home.

LOL I wondered why you said not to worry, you're still single. :p

Given this new information, I think I'll ask Mocha out on a date tonight. If he's not up to it, maybe I could put a little bow tie on my cat and see if he'd like to sit down with me for a nice dinner. Eh, who'm I kidding? I'd probably have better luck with the fish.

Please, don't mind me. This is what 3.5 hours of sleep does to me.

I had a dream that I saw my old childhood friend whom I guess I am still emotionally attached to in some manner. We went from being best friends seeing each other everyday for years, to her suddenly realizing that she is cooler than me and calling me all sorts of colorful names in front of her friends. Not to mention I was there for her through an abusive time her life as a young child. We shared painful experiences too. But she stopped acknowledging the same pain I went through as her. What a betrayal huh?! And then we grew apart, moved. I never saw her again. But ties are just left hanging in some ways.

Every dream I have of her, is a completion. I see her, we talk, she misses me, says sorry, we go back to way things were. Back to best friends. But I know there is a whole lot wrong with all that.

If I had several of my brothers and sisters in Christ come to me and point out that I was behaving in an inappropriate way, I would listen and do what I could to correct said behavior.

Granted, I've been known to ignore the wise words and corrections of just one or two people. It's easier to keep pretending I'm right and they're wrong when it's only a couple of people.

But when something is mentioned repeatedly by several people? And others are agreeing? I think that'd make me stop and take notice.

I dunno. It's strange to me how anyone could simply ignore stuff like that and carry on with what they're doing and think, somehow, that's it's cute, or that people don't really mind.

It's not cute. It's not amusing.
