This situation is not my fault. I know this is not my fault. And yet, it was more comfortable to blame myself because then I could change things, or fix things, or prevent things, because, you know, those things had something to do with me.

Why is the loss of "control" harder to deal with than the actual misplaced, unnecessary guilt?

Because once we stop blaming ourselves, we end up facing something for what it is and we don't like seeing that. I struggle with the same exact feeling at times.

So I'm rather ticked off (for lack of better term and the one in mind I'll refrain from using on here) at the cleanse product I've tried a few times. It's burned my face where it appears like I've been sunburned and feels stretched on certain areas of my face. I've read the reviews after starting to feel the effects and others had similar issues of the same product and gave it low rating. I'd rate as well, but since the recent ratings being low I'm assuming they disabled ratings and comments. I wonder why.

If you have sensitive, dry and fair skin then I wouldn't suggest neutrogena. Wish I could've seen this before wasting about ten bucks over such a small product that does no good. Look up the quality and ratings of such products before buying, which I'm sure you smart folks have done and of course I didn't.

On a brighter note, yesterday when coming home the package I've been waiting for and got worried about for over a week came just as I was coming down the block from my home. The Bibles (yes, I bought three and they were at good price and appears to be in great condition). :) Haven't actually used them yet and still trying to decide how the other two will be used and stuff... Long story on that, really.

Just because a day starts out bad, it doesn't mean the entire day has to continue to be bad...in fact, it could turn around and suddenly be a GOOD day...!

...that's a suggestion, Day, in case you didn't get it.

I can't get over this! "There'll be parties for hosting marshmallows for toasting and caroling out in the snow..there'll be SCARY GHOST STORIES and tales of the glories of Christmases long long ago"

Who on this Green Earth Tells scary ghost stories in Christmas time?! I don't get it!!!!

or how about winter wonderland... "Later on we'll CONSPIRE as we dream by the fire"

these must be psychopaths who conspires by a fire on Christmas time...

I always just assumed the "scary ghost stories" meant A Christmas Carol...? That makes sense to me.
...and I dunno about "conspiring" by a fire, but I like to change the words to "Later on we'll perspire as we dream by the fire"...because...I'm weird.

Add another one to that list:

He sees you when you're sleeping
He knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness' sake!

So are we singing about a kindly old elf... or a CIA spy?

lil_christian: That has to be a Gary Larson comic. Same art style, same twisted way of looking at the world.

Yup, says Larson in the upper right corner. :) I knew there was a signature up there, just didn't bother to read WHOSE signature.

Yes, I love Larson's stuff! (and have since I was a child). Just so you know, his surname is written in the top righthand corner of the cartoon.

I so miss The Farside. *sigh*

Forget about the Dark Side--The Farside is the true original.

I just wonder if The Farside has cookies, too.

Oh you mean that signature right in front of my face?

Yeah, that's Larson's. Kinda makes me look silly for mentioning it. Ah well.
