Yes, I do. Have you tried pouring warm, salty water in your ear? That could help.

This situation is not my fault. I know this is not my fault. And yet, it was more comfortable to blame myself because then I could change things, or fix things, or prevent things, because, you know, those things had something to do with me.

Why is the loss of "control" harder to deal with than the actual misplaced, unnecessary guilt?

I just heard on the radio that there will soon be a huge need for drone operators. You can use them for aerial photography, killing people, dropping flaming bags of poo on your neighbors lawn...
Now there's a thought....wouldn't want to run a drone and have any enemies.....the killing part....could get messy....Dear Father please help me learn to forgive.....seriously.....

It is interesting how scientists and the government seem to love the idea of drones to "catch the bad guys" and fail to realize that the "bad guys" could use them themselves....

Speaking of drones sometimes I have felt like one not the flying kind but the working kind......I am retired now so have taken off the drone hat and laid it down.

My siblings and I are going to buy my parents a cruise trip as their Christmas present to take place next year. We know they'll probably object, it's a lot of money...but they do so much and literally RARELY have a true break. Maybe one day every 6 months or so. Not even kidding. My dad is a pastor and church planter, and even when he's not "working", he is; People will call, he gives people rides, he works on promotional stuff, he's also the worship leader so he gets the songs ready, he also is in training to learn things from the Illinois Association of...something church related, I don't remember. My mom owns her own transcription business and works 45 hours or more a week, and when she's not, she's a pastor's wife so she is also helping with church stuff. They both lead small groups throughout the week.

Even when they come to visit with family they have to deal with stuff from back home and/or my mom brings her work with her.

They've also helped all of us kids move: My sister twice, my brother twice, me 4 times. They do SO much. We want them to have a real vacation. They haven't had one in almost 2 years.

I'm really excited. Each of us kids is going to write them a note of appreciation and then at the end, give them the cruise information/tickets. I know I'm going to cry just writing the note.
I don't know if you knew this, but I have some pull with the State of Illinois Association of Something Church (SIASC - it's pronounced 'seasick') and I like to help out when I can, so I've expedited your dad's certification so he and your mom can enjoy their cruise. One less thing, you know....

Soooooo I messed up.
One of my coworkers was leaving for mexico today on a vacation and she asked me if I could work for her at six this morning...but then I got confused because on the schedule it looked like every position on the staff schedule was filled....and then I said yes...
And then one of my bosses called me this morning and asked me if I could come in annnnnnnddd I am coming in three hours later because I was confused and thought there was a scheduling misprint.

Next time me no volunteer when I am not sure. lol
