So, i'm in the south where all the cold temps are. We had snow a few days ago and while much has melted there are some spots still remaining. In particular my driveway. Which i failed to realize is on an incline. I've never really driven on ice before, but believed i had thought it through well enough. I was wrong. I ended up hitting the house. The brick porch, so no damage to the house, my car, on my first glance, showed no damage, but will have to inspect it closer later. I'm mostly fine, though i think i'm still frazzled a bit by the whole thing.
Then i walk inside and much to my surprise my dad is sitting there and doesn't mention me hitting the house, despite him having a straight on view. Turns out he was sick most of the night, including a high fever, during which he said he was mildly hallucinating. He was having pain around his pancreas (where he had cancer 10 years ago) and having nausea. My brother was already on the way to pick up my dad. They left not long ago.
So what started out as a good morning has turned a bit nerve wracking. Please pray.
Ugly, that had to have been stressful - the wreck-into-the-house part. The part about your dad is pretty concerning... I'm praying for him now. Let us know when you hear something and have time? *hugs*

Sorry to hear about all that Ugly, praying for you, your Dad and for this cold weather to go away. Come up north next year and I'll teach you how to drive on snow and ice. But seriously I hope your Dad is ok.

It must have been very difficult. I am praying for you and for your dad.
Please update us on the situation, if you can.

No update so far, but thanks all.
He had called my brother, since i was out when he woke up. My brother and sister took him, i'm not sure where, but i'm pretty sure to the ER rather than the doctor. Last time i heard from anyone he had just been taken back, so hope to hear anything soon.
Will give more details when i learn something.
Thanks again.

Well, my dads home. He has an infection of the pancreas and i believe urinary tract as well. He's in a lot of pain though.

Also i have a neck injury from long ago, it acts up from time to time, but is usually not much of a bother. But it seems to be flaring up, i'm not sure if it's related or if it's just a normal flare up. But i'm suspicious it's from the accident.

I'm praying for your dad's healthy, Ugly, and also for you that the neck issues will go away. I hope things start to settle down a bit for you soon after having a pretty jarring day.

So flipping much for my stupid menu. I didn't even have the chance to talk to him before he gave it to them and told them, if this is there for this much please get it.

It might be from cold weather, my ankle I broke a couple of years ago hurts when it rains or when it's very cold. I'm thinking of uing myself as a weather vain.

You might want to have it checked out Brother........I would suspicion that the car vs. house thing may well have caused a flare up. Low impact collisions can and do cause injuries that may not be fully realized for several days. Don't play around with neck/spinal pain/injuries. Just saying............ God bless you and your Dad.

Hope they gave him some good antibiotics that will get the infection(s) under control. And, if he did not see his Doctor (Primary Care), I would strongly suggest that he do so within the next 72 hours. Emergency Room Doctors are great and all that, but quite often do not have the time or resources to fully investigate their patients condition and causes thereof.

I'm mildly ticked right now. If I start snapping at blockheads in the Bible Discussions forum you might want to ask a moderator to ban me for the night.

I was supposed to meet a friend at 5pm and show him how to use a digital audio workstation to make beats and tunes. I had it all planned what I would teach him, how I would show him what to do in which order so he couldn't possibly get confused. I had two laptops (so he could follow along and do what I was doing and learn it better that way) a boombox, an 88 key keyboard, assorted cords, all loaded in my van.

I got there at 5pm and his girlfriend answered the door and said, "He's asleep." I said, "He told me 5:00." She shrugged and repeated, "He's asleep."

For the objective, personally it's no skin off my nose. His missed opportunity, not mine. But if you tell me to meet you at a certain place and time, BE THERE! Or if you're not there, have a very good reason. I put a bit of preparation into this.

She couldn't go wake him up and let him know you were there?? What is the world coming to? I'd be ticked too...

Wait, he took your list and told them to get everything on it? That sounds like a good thing, right? Did I understand correctly?

I was wondering that too actually. Maybe he's tough to wake up. Or maybe it takes him a while to become coherent after he wakes up. Or maybe he gets really ticked if someone wakes him up.

And yeah, that's how I understood lil_christian's post too. I thought it meant he said to get what was on the list. But that doesn't fit the general "this is a bad thing" vibe I got from the rest of the post.

Maybe this is the Christian you should blast through your house using ear plugs?

No, they didn't even let me have a chance to discuss what was on the menu. I knew if my sister took one look at it she would freak...and she was the one creating the grocery list. Dad gave them the money for grocery shopping before I had a chance to talk to him about the menu and stuff. =\ I'll probably just have to try again later.

Right now I'm just on a very emotional roller coaster. Which is why I'm having to look into counseling. Yet again, another thing I need or should talk to my dad about. But I don't think he'd even understand why.

Oh... bummer. You guys need a family meeting or something. I feel like there's a disconnect somewhere with your dad. :( Hopefully it will happen soon. The menu looked awesome!
