I'm mildly ticked right now. If I start snapping at blockheads in the Bible Discussions forum you might want to ask a moderator to ban me for the night.

I was supposed to meet a friend at 5pm and show him how to use a digital audio workstation to make beats and tunes. I had it all planned what I would teach him, how I would show him what to do in which order so he couldn't possibly get confused. I had two laptops (so he could follow along and do what I was doing and learn it better that way) a boombox, an 88 key keyboard, assorted cords, all loaded in my van.

I got there at 5pm and his girlfriend answered the door and said, "He's asleep." I said, "He told me 5:00." She shrugged and repeated, "He's asleep."

For the objective, personally it's no skin off my nose. His missed opportunity, not mine. But if you tell me to meet you at a certain place and time, BE THERE! Or if you're not there, have a very good reason. I put a bit of preparation into this.[/QUOTE]

At my age.............being asleep is a very good reason for missing anything! :) just saying........

Sorry for the disappointment and the wasted time and energy..........

Maybe this is the Christian you should blast through your house using ear plugs?
I'm tempted... If you're gonna make an appointment to meet me, you oughta at least be awake. If you gotta take a nap, couldn't you at least set the alarm clock?

Though he's not a christian. At least not yet. He might be someday, if he survives.

Oh... bummer. You guys need a family meeting or something. I feel like there's a disconnect somewhere with your dad. :( Hopefully it will happen soon. The menu looked awesome!
Yeah. Sorry, didn't intend there to be miscommunication. =\ I did talk with him a little bit.

JesusLives: No, I was the one who was going to teach HIM how to make some beats.

Super tall scary creatures scare me more than normal sized ones. I went to a haunted corn maze in Missouri years ago, and THIS thing was there. It's a terrible quality picture of it, and I missed when its eyes would glow red. It's about 10 feet tall or so. And the way it walked...it glided. And its hands....ugh. I shivered just typing that out.

I also went to a haunted corn maze in Illinois last year and there was a tall thing, not quite like that, but similar, actually IN the corn maze and not wandering outside of it like the above one. It came into my path, and I clutched the girl's arm I was holding even more tightly (I probably cut off her blood circulation, what a true friend) and I looked up at it. I couldn't even see its face, it was just this tall hooded creature and I could see the scythe it was holding outlined in the night sky. And he must have seen my face fall and become horrified, because I tried to walk past it and it MOVED INTO MY WAY and wouldn't let me pass. My friend finally had to pull me through.

Now, I KNOW it was in fun, it's that fun kind of scared where you know it's just people in the suits. But for some reason, the tall things freak me out.

I say all that because last night I had a dream where there were a few scary tall creatures, and they took me and one just stared at me as I got into the car. His body didn't turn, just his head, as he watched me. And it was one of those dreams where that cold dread kind of feeling lingered because I kept remembering it.

Dreams are weird.

And I still like haunted corn mazes. There was one part in one where you had to walk through a tented area, and it was dark, and there was a strobe light, and I saw bubbles floating around! So I'm like "Oh yay, bubbles AHHHH THERE'S A CLOWN WITH A CHAINSAW --- oh bubbles! -- AHHHH!!"

So that was a pointless post but hey it's what's on my mind.

I've never been to a haunted house, or for that matter a corn maze. The knowledge that it is just people in suits would ruin it for me. I'd spend my whole time there trying to resist the urge to see how they did that effect or what made that thing move.

This just reminded me of a dream I had last night. When I read "cold dread kind of feeling" I instantly remembered that I had a dream causing me to feel that way, but I can't remember at all what it was about. It probably doesn't help that I watched the first two Matrix movies each of the last two nights before bed haha.

I don't know if it's just me but people out there seem to be more edgy than normal these past couple of days. I mean I'm actually afraid to go out there again. Had two close calls while driving just about an hour ago because the other driver was either distracted or not paying attention. Had to beep at one who almost hit me after running a stop sign. As I drove by I could see that she looked like she was having the absolute worst day of her life. I guess I should probably pray for her.

I don't get the whole left shark thing. It being all awkward and uncoordinated is kind of funny, I get that. But what it has become on the internet...really? Also, isn't left shark kind of a misnomer (it's on our left, on Katy's right)?

On a lighter note, I replaced the screen in my Droid Razr M! Very simple process. I needed it fixed because I busted the screen by accident. Now that I can use it, I'll be sending my HTC One (M8) out for a free...screen replacement...because I cracked it.

I think Left shark's just one of those things that's virally entertaining and the shark costume is epic! :D

My responses to the best of my memory haha.
I am not able to take Ibuprofen do to my kidney transplant. But i will try to ice it down. When i woke up tonight my shoulders and neck were a little tight and sore.
My dad went to the ER, so we'll start with the overpriced antibiotics, if that doesn't work i'm sure he'll be quick to go and be looked at again.
Between a bad memory, a skype chat and a Ghostbusters distraction i can't remember more to respond to =P

Also, the friend i spoke of previously about praying, she's not a Christian, had told me last night she had decided she was going to stop drinking. But tonight, for some reason, she drank 'nearly two bottles' of wine, and apparently fast enough to not even remember falling asleep. I've wondered for a while if she had a drinking problem, and now i feel it's confirmed. I brought it up to her when she told me about this tonight. I think she's receptive to the idea she may have one, but has that 'i'll take care of it myself' thinking still. She has a lot going on in her life and not a lot of help or support, so please pray for her. I also believe she sees herself as a Christian though she involves herself spiritually into some very un-Christian things, so pray i will know the right things to say and how to talk to her to show her the truth. I've talked with her a little on it and she was open to what i said, but another time she got angered because i know i said some wrong things. So i definitely need some extra guidance in my words.

Hope you and your dad are both feeling better soon. And may you have extra wisdom to know what to say and when to say it with your friend.
