My foot is still hurting. I don't care. Must run anyway. That's what athletic tape is for, right?

It's better in the long-term to heal first!
somehow, I don't think she's gonna listen....
Hey Jules - sorry to talk behind your back? (or in front of your back, since it's a public forum). I think of you as "delightfully stubborn." I just don't wAnt that quality to lead to long-germ injuries.

I like what you had to say here. But I couldn't help smiling when I read "long-germ injuries." :)

haha - I just noticed that. During the day, if I post, I post from my cell phone.....which sometimes makes me look like an idiot. I prefer to post either before work or at night when I have a "real" keyboard. Being on the left coast, I miss out on a lot though, so I'm forcing myself to use the ol' android more. ;)

I'm playing racquetball with a friend in about 45 minutes.

Last time we played together, I sort of...didn't eat much that day. Not really on purpose. It's just that my plans kept changing so I didn't get a chance to eat. I think I had a granola bar and a piece of toast all day or something. Anyway, we had to cut the game short because I felt dizzy and sick, so instead of playing, we went to Culvers and ate and actually had great conversation.

We're playing again tonight, but this time, I think I've eaten TOO much in preparation. Bleh.

Yeah...it does seem like a lot more people are from The Midwest and East in this chat site. It's interesting.

We Washingtonians got mad at the Californians back in 1990 because they came here from there, a lot of them, we called them 'California invaders,' I think, it was right after a big Earthquake that a lot of 'em came, got tired of being all shook up, I guess.

I'm sure the '94 quake drove some out of California (I was there for it), but during the 90's California's economy was sour so many were leaving for lack of work.

I don't understand y peple type lik dis.

I don't understand why girls take a million pictures of themselves then post it online claiming they were "bored"

I don't understand why i'm 30 years old and still sleep with a camel!

Most importantly i don't understand why Virginia seems to be the only state without a drive through subway!!

Racquetball was a blast! We played for two hours. Started off with a friend and me, then two other guys joined us later. One of them I hadn't met before.

He was cute. :p

I think my arm will be yelling at me tomorrow, though, for playing for two hours...

As an idealist battling with realism, I've come to the conclusion that I will be a hypocrite in some areas of my life (much of it at my job) with what I say or do and what I think is right/ expect out of others and myself. I am finding as my expectations of others increase, so does my pressure to be perfect myself- to level up to what I expect of others. All because I don't want to be a hypocrite. It's exhausting. It's hard to decrease the level of expectations because my idealism is driving it. And my need for authenticity is driving my self-reflection, need for perfection and feelings of hypocrisy.

Sooo, earlier this week I took my truck to a transmission shop because I thought the transfer case was going bad. The guy never called me to give me an estimate or to tell me what the problem was. This morning I called him to find out what was up and he tells me that I can pick the truck up that the problem was actually in the rear differential and he doesn't work on axles.

I expected to pay a nominal fee for his time diagnosing the problem, but sure wasn't expecting a $450 bill. He removed the transfer case, disassembled it just to find nothing wrong, then reassembled it and reinstalled it. He wasn't present when I picked the truck up so I couldn't argue with him about the bill, that'll have to wait til Monday but if he doesn't refund a sizeable chunk of my money I'll probably have to take him to court. The transfer case and differential are separated by about nine feet of drive shaft his diagnosis error shouldn't run up a bill.

The real thrill is that the differential repair could run almost $1,800.......the truck is barely worth that much but I sure can't afford to replace it. I hate feeling like I work my tail off 40+ hours a week and perpetually end up in the hole financially.
