oh gee sorry i didnt mean to be offensive to the nice people here. Im so sorry
No! You did´t. If you have done something wrong, I would have pressed the REPORT POST buttom (the black triangle) but, since those concerns arose, I´m glad you will be as OLD as this lady who gave us a good tip. ;)

On the other hand, be informed that those you perceived as "creepy" (I don´t care who they are) could have tried to be both (a) Kind and (b) unkind but, the moment you had your children, you will learn more about family problems.

The bottom line, to my secret thoughts, it is -also- they are free enough to visit worldly places where they can lure ppl away... But I wanted to be spared from that harrassment.

When you get old, I don´t know what U would do to "hide" (you´re not guilty from being looked at)

To be fair to you, said 35 - 55 year old men messaging young ladies seem pretty "creepy," as it were. Yeah, not all of them are "old and creepy," but in context, I think we all understood where you're coming from.

I think brother Hermie is being a little cheeky with you, also. :p

Right Hermie? *nudge nudge*
Ha! Ha!

i would be cheeky if I saw spidermen tried to hurt or scare her. Ha! Ha!

My own daghter loves to upload pictures and she tends to see things from her standpoint... I think Zoii is quite smarter (and kind) to learn from this simple lessons (some privacy is a must)

@ Zooi

Like I said! When I visit my grandson, I will show him that picture and, I´m sure HE will send you a wink, with me. ;)

Um... not totally sure wot u mean but I promise u the label of "creepy" for the messages Mia n I get ... we are confident we are not misinterpreting anything. Its very obvious. When a 57 yo who ive never met asks me if he could get to know me better .... i feel very uncomfortable. .. actually i feel a bit freaked by it. This isnt intended tho for really lovely n encouraging messages i get from adults ive spoken to.

That's a scary thought...you'd think in a mostly Christian site...people would...wow just wow
Christians or not, all men (and women) are human beings having passions and those "crushes".

I have old men as friends and they´ve told me: My mind is the same... I wish I were younger.

I really hope you girls are reporting every inappropriate message you get. Also, want us to form a mob and go kick some butt? We could totally get that done :D
I posted a prayer about this earlier (#35736) but I'm not real good at that. Maybe someone can type a good prayer of protection that we can all say or refer back to daily to keep the site the safe refuge we know it should be for all, a place of prayer, learning, encouragement, joy, and freedom in Jesus name. Just a suggestion...

I haven't read any of the previous posts except for this one....so I'm not sure what the whole situation is. But yes, a 57 year old should NOT be messaging that to a 15 year old. That's 42 years difference.

It's ridiculous. Go somewhere else and get to know someone who isn't a) young enough to be your daughter and, b) someone who isn't underage.

Of course! I´ve been in a situation like that (when I was younger).

The lesson I learned: It´s easier I CHANGED that expecting THEM were changed... (because you know what you felt: And that´s ugly)

I´m sorry you´ve learned it that way, but this is the world we´re growing in. :(

Good advised!

That´s why I have my PM options unabled.

I chose to share with ppl at public sight.

The reason I took down my photo is that I was getting messaged about how this person would like to get to know me... which is fine with me. :) So, I start asking him about himself and all he can go on about is how pretty I am, etc. Well, ok... we've established that you are attracted to me, but I'm more than my face... let's get to know each other. But no, on and on and on. So, I figure if I don't have a photo, maybe I'll be approached for a value other than what I look like on the outside.

I sure don't mind being attractive to someone, but it MUST be more than just a physical attraction.

oh, and it's happened more than once.

They only way I have found, to protect myself from misinterpretation is leaving unable my PMs.

If each individual was unaware of certain things, our pravate prayers will be answered publicly, as Jesus said GOD would reward our prayer (in our secret place).

Mat 6:6 When you pray, go into a room alone and close the door. Pray to your Father in private. He knows what is done in private, and he will reward you.

Mat 6:4 Then your gift will be given in secret. Your Father knows what is done in secret, and he will reward you.

I ended up sleeping like 12 hours last night. It was kind of awesome.

I am 58 years old and will be 59 in a few months. And I've been hassled on this site by creepy men. There's no way I'll post my photo, not because I think I'm Marilyn Monroe. Hardly! I just don't want to be that unreserved and available to a world of strangers, some who are quite deviant. I only correspond with friends who I've gotten to know well on this site, which is only a handful of people.

But as for these perverts who are making our young ladies creep out, well they should be banned ASAP. The one perv who was bothering me is still a member here. I have him on ignore but I often wonder how many others he's creeping on now. :p

If those instances were reported, I´m sure admins would know how to deal with those issues.

May I asked: Have you ever felt a young folk perceived your kindness wrongly?

I´m happy I seldom approached ppl by using PMs.

But, on the positive, those who have read this STREAMS got conscious thoughts.

Are all women aware men do get flattered, sometimes?

z.png

Besides, as another stream of being conscious: Have you seen THE AMMOUNT of ppl being registered lately? (New accounts?)

Ha! Ha!

Another thing too, about getting messages from people you don't want to talk to- don't respond to even the very first one. Don't worry about being "polite" and feeling like you have to reply with even a simple hi or thanking them for a compliment. That's how I handle most messages from random guys; I ignore it, unless they say something inappropriate right off the bat, in which case, I report it.

But yeah, just don't even engage in conversation, don't give them that opening.

Yes, absolutely I have been perceived wrongly. I have pm'd lots of folks messages of encouragement or prayers for them, pictures to inspire them when I read comments about their struggles. I pm them because I don't want to make a big deal in public like I'm Mother Teresa (heehee) and sometimes because maybe they don't want you to make a fuss over them in public. So I try to use wisdom and discretion.

I have had at least a handful who did not respond to my pm and a few who made it clear they didn't want me to pm them anymore. Perhaps they perceived me as weird or intrusive. That's perfectly ok. They have that right and I must respect them for it. So I leave them be and trust God for His work in their lives.

I don't have to get upset that they took me wrong. God will vindicate my life in the forums and prove I'm genuine so I'm not concerned about it. But if someone feels uncomfortable and doesn't want me to message them, I'd be an ignorant fool to get upset at them. Nobody should intrude on people and violate their personal space.

It's the internet, where 99% of it is worthless garbage and littered with scammers, pervs and hackers. Praise God most CC members have the wisdom not to get taken in by weirdoes. :)

So I was reading through the list of this afternoon's Creative Television Programming to see if there was anything I wanted to catch when I get back from the gym.

I skimmed the program summaries, briefly noting that it seemed to be an afternoon marathon of cooking programs and it read something like this:

"Pale Fish." "Chocolate Cravings". "Sweet Roasted Pork." "Baby Seal Pup."

WHAT THE HEE HAW???!!! WHO WOULD COOK A BABY SEAL PUP???

And then I realized... The last in line is actually a PAINTING SHOW. As in, someone is PAINTING baby seal pups and not actually cooking them. D'oh.

I'm not sure if I was relieved... or disappointed... (KIDDING!!!)

Have I ever mentioned I'm not exactly the brightest of the bunch...
