Well at least I brought one chatter out of hiatus with cookies. ;) Good to hear from you MissCris. :) I remember how I was when I was 4...sheesh. My mom had the patience of a saint, I think. To deal with me, she must have. XD Things might get frustrating but just know, at the end of the day, and later on in life...it'll all be worth it. :) I know I appreciate all the things my mom did for me. I have a pretty good feeling your kids will, too. And...yeah. That's all I have to say I guess. xD

Why is it looked down upon to dig up old threads? I actually like doing that. Sometimes I'll click the 50th page of posts on a certain forum and just look at what was going on a year or so ago. I'm so gonna do it right now! :p

I just raised one of my old threads back to life a couple hours ago. So I get what you're saying, Molly.

MissCris, I'm sorry you're going through such a rough time. :(
My mom tells me that it was tough being a single mom and that she always felt she didn't have anything under control. It seemed like something was always going wrong whether it be finances or homework help. I'm not bragging but there's plenty of statistics against my brother and I for being raised by a single mom. Kids raised with only one parent are more likely to end up dropping out of high school, getting pregnant before marriage or even ending up in prison. And lots of other stuff. Thank God we didn't do those things.

I think she did great because we came out pretty decent compared to all those statistics.
So don't worry so much. Give your kids to God and tell Him that they are His. This is something my mom did when she had my little brother and I. I think that's what helped us grow up to be Christians that love Jesus and love our mother dearly. I'm sure your kids will feel the same way about you too! :)

I forgot to add, so despite feeling out of control and anxious about raising us, Mom was and is a great mother because she gave us to the Lord. She prayed to Him and asked Him to give us the best possible road we could have as a family. It worked. :)

Generally speaking one or both of two reasons:

1) The members of the discussion are not here anymore. So, you are, in effect, replying to ghosts.
2) Threads die when that particular topic of conversation has run its course. That's not to say that a new discussion can't be started, but when the resurrected thread is less than two years old, most of the people on that thread who are still here have already said their peace. Anything older than a few years is usually ex-posters.

I'm happy. So many things to share but dunno where to start. Well my mom's bestfriend from when I was like 5, got saved a few years back. She visited us when I was already over 20, when she was going through family problems and mom shared the only answer she knew: Jesus. Amazingly, she accepted Christ. She went to a local church in her place but kept in touch. For a few years we watched how God worked in her life, her cheating husband got saved and they're back together. More recently, her (now ex) lesbian daughter who was living with her gf, got saved and is now serving ministry in my old church, with my old friends! (Small world). Her other daughter got preggers and rebelled but came back to God and her family after she gave birth. She serves in their local church. Now, her son who lives with his bf, were invited to church too. The son has turned away but they're trying to reach out to him. And to our surprise, it's his son's bf who was open. He said he'd never been in a christian church his whole life and it was all new to him. Other news, sissy downloaded audio sermons for dad in his car so whenever he drives, he gets to listen to the Word, he didn't refuse! He recently just started coming back to church with my family too. And they all got together last Sunday to celebrate each other's victory in Christ! I wasn't there though. I was here, enjoying everything I heard. Kingdom work is actually exciting, seeing real changes in peoples' lives, NEVER gets old. Praise God \o/

Yay! Where have you been, brother? We've missed you!
I was travelling. I covered 5 cities in 3 weeks. In this period, I was at home for only 3-5 days, in total! Yeah, it was THAT hectic. :D

Lookie there! Another chatter!

I should lay out cookie trails more often :D

Good to see ya Roh_Chris. How you been?
Heyyy! I did not get the cookies. Someone must have gotten here before I got here.

I've been great, Lil. How about you? :D

Don't look at me. I don't know anything about any cookies.

*Lynx runs his tongue over his whiskers to catch any flecks of chocolate and walks away.
