How does one openly praise Jesus and glorify His name on a daily basis, especially when trials and tribulations arise? How does one keep the belief and faith in the Words of the Bible and apply it to daily life? What it is supposed to look like to actually follow Jesus Christ? Does this portrayal look different in everyone? Or are we all synchronized by the grace and death of the Messiah?

God, I wish I could get answers from Christ Himself. All this faith business feels like I'm chasing an invisible tail. I could dig deeper, but I might end up with another theology that might drive me even crazier.

What helps me more than anything during times of trial is looking back, not at the things I've left behind (Lot's wife's mistake), but at the provision, protection, mercy and faithfulness of God in my life. When I remember all that He's brought me through, I know He'll do it again.

Please pray for me...a joint in my right thumb is hurting really bad...I'm too young to have joint issues, in my opinion. *sigh* Though it doesn't help I haven't taken any fish oil for a while (though I took some a few minutes ago)

My poor kitty went to the vet for a check up and vaccinations. She was so scared in the car. I kind of thought that this must be like with God. We're afraid and He's asking us to trust Him that things will be okay, that it is for our own good but we don't have that foresight. Kind of my kitty, she didn't know that we were just going to get checked out, she is not in danger and the needle might hurt for a second, but it is to keep her healthy.

I just had a four hour nap. (Kiddos didn't make finals; they were disappointed, but they did world's better tonight than on Thursday, so we told them we were still proud of them.)

I are VERY awake right now.

Kind of surprised I'm not starving (last ate around 5:30) or incredibly sore (lifted a total of 15,320 lbs last night).

1. CALMLY ask your brother for constructive criticism and give careful consideration to it. He might be wiser than you know.
2. Do you think your aunt might agree with your brother?
3. Stop doing the bad stuff you feel badly about and give your life to Jesus.
4. It's not emotions. It's you being shown that you need to realize you are becoming an adult, which comes with taking responsibility for our actions, as well as your need for a Savior.
5. Does your family go to church? Do you have one? Do you attend?

I sat there jotting down notes, responding to the Facebook war, I had started over X issues(Feminism, Liberalism, Obamacare, etc.). Looking up songs that were popular enough to cover that people would know. This was it, I was there in the practice studio, and yet...

As cool and collected as I've ever been I simply go through the motions of pulling out songs, each extracted for its popularity and reactivity. I chose to spend my afternoon there with her. This was what I wanted and what she wanted.

Theoretically, this should have been overwhelming or awesome but, instead it was just sort of okay. She's a beautiful talented musician, loves God and there is nothing wrong with her. She has a bright future, loyal fans, a line of guys and the skills to go pretty far.


But there is something that I can't put my finger on. Something that tells me that there is nothing here for me.

I declined the suggestive hints to go dancing and to chinese.

I'm not him, but I'm sure he's a great guy.

One prayer answered or is God just toying with me? lol (I know He's not like that,no need to lecture me on His nature/character)

So I say to a friend last night...I'm gonna attempt sleep (this was like 10 PM - ish) Went to bed...got up once in the middle of the night,went back to bed...woke up 6:45 AM - ish. Can't believe I got that much sleep. I kid you not when I tell you,I have not slept that many hours in one night nearly back to back in well over 10 years.

It's an amazing feeling. TY Jesus. I will savor this moment.

Almost 7AM here in WA state, just thinking about today. Sunday! The day of rest, He tells us it's called. I pray we all 'rest' in Him, however He leads. The Lord leads

I pray, we just all let Him inflow into the flux of our lives, and, that we let Him solder and set us into His mold of workmanship, at church, where we are 'the bride of Christ,' or, at home, where we're being called to worship Him, for some reason. What matters is following Him in your life, that way, it's gonna be a great day in 'the world' God's got you in ,which, He has us ALL in to serve Him, to be different, as julieannie says, and, keep in mind, we are to be different, which, is the definition of 'holy.' Christ reiterates this in Scripture , 'Be ye (you) holy as I am holy.' He is. We are to be. Beautiful, isn't it. So, in your church today or wherever you are, 'resting,' what does God want you to do to be different, to make a difference in the life of another, or, even yourself, that pleases Him, that gives you blessings you can be sure and is done for His glory ?

LOL, that dog, too, in the video, is like my dog, not the peeing scene, LOL, but the watching out the front window. But, yeah, squeeze someone's cheeks today, pray for someone IN YOUR MIND when you see them, say 'God bless that person' for talking to me in church today.' There's more to things in life, deeper ways to serve Him, Christ peeps, we can do things great or 'great,' and, we DO have the mind of Christ, so be thankful of that, praise Him, and, pray for others, as Scripture tells us we should do--- as , He leads us, He will lead you, too--without ceasing

I can remember when i was 16 years old --and, oh, mizcris, I am just referencing your quote, or, arwenbaggins will see this as a response one too many times to people and she will be like them orcs talking in 'The Hobbit,' which one says to the poor ole dwarf dude, 'Off with his head.' How fake, too, that bilbo baggins could take on a orc on a viscious wolf riding? Well, not so much so, is it, IF one things of David slinging them stones

But, yeah, when I was 16 one of the first real freedom pleasures I can remember was being able to drive to the grocery store on my own and get stuff . There was just something exhilarating in that act that's beyond words to explain, almost. 'Almost' because I just explained it

I'm glad you brought this up. I've been meaning to talk to our grocery store manager about this very topic. Look at expensive shampoo sometimes the bottle will have quite a bit missing and then you go to day dishwashing liquid they all are at the same level. In other words, I can account for inaccuracy at the manf. level by a little but 1/2 cup missing I wonder myself. A lot of times stock is done at night I wonder if some is taken out. If any of you are shelf stockers and you do not do this I'm not talking about you.
