So I may be dating...I can't tell.

How does one even do this?

and on an unrelated note: the bathroom etiquette thread got Jesus-juked? What? Really?
That's awesome, Cat!!!

Just don't ask here to play reindeer and pull the sleigh, and you're probably all set.

Running them under cold water after cutting into them usually helps me. Have heard it disperses the fumes the onion produces.

I would recommend taking out your eyes before cutting onions. You can put them back on after you have finished cutting them....

.... with glue or duct tape.

So in two hours and forty-five minutes I will be playing my violin on stage with the worship team at my new church. This will be my first time playing with them, and I'm a bit nervous. Prayers for peace and other bubbly stuff would be muchly appreciated! AAHHHHHHHH!HHH!!!!H!HH!H!H!

Word corrector is telling me 'muchly' is not a word....

Pfftt.

I hear that chewing gum actually helps with the eyes watering.

Also, I refrigerate them before I cut them. That helps a lot. My eyes can still water, but not as much as it would if I didn't put them in the fridge.

You can also try the following:
1) Cut the onion under a vent (as long as you have a pretty good vent)r
2) Soak it in water for a little bit (just make sure you cut off the ends and peel it before you do soak it. Soak it for 15 minutes)
3) Wear goggles (you may look ridiculous, but c'mon.....no tears :p)
4) Freeze it (put it in the freezer for 15 minutes before you cut it)

But don't your eyes get cold in the fridge?
