That was handy, chatting with a former collegue who's an atheist. My he wanted to play WordON a few times and now he asks if I come over and take my tooth brush with me. I wanted to make a thread on how to solve this but the solution is quite easy actually. Sure I wanna go pool with you some day but I don't sleep there so impossible on sunday, it gets too late. I could really share the gospel with him in the first chat and I clearly told him I was not interested in a relationship. You simply can't talk and just be nice to men. I don't think it's handy to go pool either. I'll just be very clear. My mom once brought such a collegue to the Lord who was flirting with her while she was married. She just brought him to church. He did that too when we were both married. Oh here he comes again. Pray for some boldness please.

He wants one thing and is quite vocal about it. Well I want one thing too, him saved. Told him go watch Ian McCormack's testimony, an atheist raised from the dead, since he saw Light when he was in coma.

Really? Because i have been friends with numerous women and had nothing romantic happen, or try to happen. Though there have been women who have been flirtatious while married. So it's not a male thing, or a female thing. It's a human thing.

Yes, my brother had the same. He hung out with a woman just as friends but that wasn't very wise either. I mean men and women just can't be friends.

Nonsense. I've had plenty of female friends. Still do.

Yeah well maybe you can't be friends with those who aren't saved and a bit desperate and not decent. But it went well. I was quite clear and gave him a good video from Ian McCormack and told him how to get saved, I just said because he had to know that I never go to a man's house alone. If they are married it's possible sometimes to be a little bit friends.

I agree. I have about the same number of female friends as my male friends. As long as the boundaries are defined and adhered to, I don't see any reason to fear.

Oh, in that case....I must tell all my guy friends that we actually aren't real friends.

Thanks for the tip.

Agreed. And most of my girl friends are solid Christians, so it's not an issue. The one that isn't is in long-term relationship.

I have a healthy amount of women and guy friends (although I just relate better with men, since growing up with two brothers and having guy friends for most of my life). Boundaries are important in relationships and even though I think it is hard to be friends with a guy if you have romantic feelings for him and he doesn't recuperate, it is still possible to be friends with the opposite gender.

Recuperate??

So, let me understand this.. when you have romantic feelings for a guy, do you bash him over his head? Now, that's taking a crush too far!!

Or, did you mean reciprocate? :p
