I'm just streaming thoughts but i've always been sensitive to horro content growing up, I remember terror in the wax museum, which came on tv when I was 10, made me so scared I couldn't hardly go downstairs, where my sister and I slept in our different bedrooms, while mom and dad slept upstairs. Many a scared nights. Maybe, that's why God gave me a kitty (for 10 years) starting in 4th grade, died during my freshman year in college from kidney failure. Long-haired cat, he was told, silly bugger, still love that ball of fur. :) But, yeah, zombies....

in 8th grade, I saw Day of the Dead whatever movie was made around 1982). Kind of. I was at a friend of a friend's house and I remember I started watching it and something came over me, I couldn't watch it and just covered my eyes and ears in my pillow and went to sleep. I just say that because, to me, not sure about other 14 year old kids but, yeah, scared me crazy badly.

----------
I was listening to catherdersheepfrenchhorner talking about dressing up as a zombie for something and that is something our college dorm did, a Haunted House. Our male-students-only dorm used our school's student union building as a haunted house. We really creeped it up, too ! I helped do black and, of course, green streamers and red paint stuff fixings. Blood, gore, creatures, including, at least one zombie, in this mix of half-human, all human, all zombie costumed, made-up folk. I know of, one zombie in it I remember, yeah, like rache pictured--by the way, a little more green color, maybe, on OUR zombie host.
But yeah, rache, nice blood, and whiteness, milady, is that AB+ blood :D But, yeah, this crazy green red-splotched, goop-scarred, crazy-looking dead person would growl right at the beginning of the maze that led the people who stood in a loooong line outside the haunted house, to the opening macabe scene--chainsaw-garbed doctors, and the such.

In a raspy voice, this hunched over, arms straight out, zombie person would say , 'Follow me. Follow me. Yissss, yissss, folloow me, follow me, I will keep you safe. I willl, yes, yes. Yisssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. "
People would say things to the zombie, like, 'Is this OK to go through, it sounds ghastly (blood-curdling screams going on) but the Zombie would say, 'Just follow me. Just follooooooooooow meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.' Raspy. Say. Short breaths. Oh, by the way, yeah, yeah, you guessed it, the zombie was meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. :)

Then, before I let go of their hands, leading them, I would say something like, 'Noooo, don't go. What did I do?' WHAT DID I DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.'

And, then, I broke my grip, sometimes had to, I scared them soooo much, and, walked my way, saying, 'you must folllow through' :)

The Lord leads. I know that if I did this kind of thing again, and, pretty sure, I didn't do this, but, as julieannie said about we should be 'different,' I think, yes, I would say things like, 'You do believe in God, don't you?' as I raspily talked to them, leading them through to the first scene, which was about a 10 second walk. I had a big part LOL, I must have led half the town of Spokane through that thing, but, God is good, it was fun to use that 'gift' God let me be that night :)

New rule: don't read news on twitter before bed. This world is so bloody messed up. Some horrible acts. Not the best thing to read about before bed.

Life is all about breath, breathing, thinking that we can be something of His glory with the soul He gave us, made for us, to step out of our comfort zone, a.k.a. suffering for Christ, living for Christ alone, and, taking the things of this world that He gives us in it and making them 'not our own' by showing others what truly is to be 'owned .' :)

Green, your smiling. What is to be 'owned' in this world ?

Hmmmmmmm.......sorry ,that's as far as I've streamed tonight. You'll come up with it (the answer) , the Lord leads :)

------
the only other thought I have is just for all on here is to keep spilling your heart on here, as He leads you (pray) to keep on letting God 'soak' others through you, to keep pressing on toward God in your lives, to keep the songs and thoughts of life a-flowing from your mind, from that great God-given mind that 1 Cor. 2 profoundingly tells us is Christ's, Paul speaking, we don't have God's mind, nor, thoughts. but we do have 'the mind of Christ.' Something to think about, that's all.

As cynical as this may be, I am glad that I am only on earth for so long. The horrific stories of how people treat each other is nothing short of disgusting. And the lack of conscience, love and regard for human worth. This world is F'd. Humanity is F'd. We destroy each other physically and emotionally nonstop and justify it to ourselves. These violent stories will continue until The End. There is hope, there is Christ & the Holy Spirit, there are miracles and healing, but there is just so much sin and hate. I truly believe that God weeps when He sees what is going on.

It occurred to me this morning that maybe the problem I've been having over the last month or so is me. Like, maybe I've not been trying hard enough, or worse, that I've been trying too hard in all the wrong ways.

I can't tell, at this point, where God wants me to focus my energy. I keep getting mixed up in things I want no part of, and other things in my life are suffering for it. But when I get to those things, I just mess everything up.

I've been feeling really...down, I guess...lately. I feel like God handed me these challenges in my life, and that I've not really faced them at all...more like I've just managed to cure symptoms, not solve actual problems.

And I feel like I'm the problem. Because I can't understand the people around me, because I can't just humbly submit when I need to, because I can't remember from one day to the next what it is I need to be doing. I'm just sort of...floating along, covering gaping wounds with band-aids, and then acting all surprised when the band-aid falls off and the wound gets infected. By the time I realize that stitches would have been the way to go, it's far too late and amputation is required.

If I could just...see what's actually in front of me, instead of all the surrounding distractions...

I don't know. Sometimes, something enters into my life and takes over and I can't get rid of it without a big, bloody mess.
Maybe, you are just in the same fight as most, Flesh verses the Spirit of God. Not seeing by trying to stop flesh acts, we are secured in doing more flesh acts that lead to the death you are now talking of?

As a person thinks, so they do, whether they want to or not, That is emotions doing the lead, of the thoughts behind it. When one could renew there way of thinking into the praise and worship band in the lead for God has through the Son won the war, back at the cross, before any of us were ever born here today
Flesh never sends out the praise and worship band out until it wins the war it is in, which is what this world teaches to do.
Where as God has done it for you, you and you already, so send out the praise and worship band in thanksgiving and praises unto Father and watch evil destroy itself in confusion,, as in the battle about King Jehoshaphat in the first Testament, about those three armies, that killed each other, being confused over the praise and worship band, that came out in the front.
Just some food to chew on slowly before swallowing

It is mid-October and it is snowing. It's not really supposed to accumulate, though. I'm one of the few who is okay with snow in October. I love watching it fall. So gentle and soft.

I love snow now that I don't own a home anymore & don't have to wake up at 4 am to snow blow!

Most of the leaves are off the trees now, which means I can start raking the yard. I'm not actually excited to do this, because then we have piles of leaves sitting and killing spots of grass...because I hate bagging them. But, at the same time, I'm kind of excited to rake, because it just feels good to be out in the crisp air, cleaning up, using muscles I don't generally use.

And then my arms feel like they're gonna fall off, which is kinda...neat.
