I'm leaning towards thinking there might be an actual reason for this.

Feel free to correct me, but in the times I've worked around the food industry, restaurants are serving these products from systems hooked up to a water source from the local site (i.e., their own faucets.)

In other words, you're being served a mixture of flavored syrup, carbonation, and local tap water. Usually, water tastes a little different everywhere you go (even in your own house, the water from the kitchen can taste different from the water in your bathroom), so this is why the "same" flavor of pop might taste differently from place to place.

The canned products are not only mixed from a different water source, but all the ingredients are also compressed together inside an aluminum can (practically marinading, if you will) and have been sitting on the shelf for who knows how long. This will likely affect both the taste and the chemical makeup, and, I imagine, could possibly trigger a sensitivity.

Again, I could be wrong, but when you draw pop (soda) from a fountain machine, which is what restaurants have, the syrup is being mixed with the local water and carbonation as you draw it, so not all of the ingredients have been stewing inside a metal can for months.

I could definitely see this making a difference for some people.

In many ways, the product you buy on the shelf is not the same product as what you get in a restaurant.
Ahhhhh this is blasphemy! They dilute it even further by putting ice in it.. That means we've been paying for nothing more than soda-flavored water!

I love this quote from a friend who is an author, he also writes for Single Matters..."Newsflash-singleness is a relational status, not your personal definition. It's a season of life, not your identification."

That's very nice, but it's a really long season
when it's your whole life.
I'm just wondering, is the author a single and happy,
and is that by choice, and has he had relationships
or someone to love or who loved him?
Like I've said, the advice, though probably well-intended,
(but not always), usually seems to come from someone
who's been lucky in love, or is rarely alone.
Btw, if 'the author/friend is single...you're a very nice,
very attractive woman...any chance you two have prayed
or considered each other might become closer?
(and I apologize if that's inappropriate...
probably another reason I'm alone :p) sorry

"Love" egg - Imgur

My commentary on the egg is ... well, it's kind of funny, but the egg reminded me of something VERY important as I was deciding on the design :).

blah got to take hazmat test.
its not to bad in Indiana. also passed my hazmat test, new job orientation is the 8th
Good that you passed you test, last I knew HazMat pays better.

It's either psychological or maybe you need to clean/wipe the part of the can your lips touch before drinking (something I always do) because...
The sodas from restaurants and fast food places come in giant aluminum containers which are hooked up to the dispenser machines via plastic hoses, so you're drinking from an aluminum can either way.
Very few establishments use the pre mix cylinders anymore (they actually were stainless steel) since it's by far more economical to install a water filtration system and use the bag in a box syrup.

The old cylinders contained 5 gal of premixed soda that just needed to be chilled and dispensed whereas the bag in a box contains 5 gal of syrup that makes 30 gal of soda thus the establishment has to change out the supply 1/6 as frequently.

Oh well, I guess my info from working with soda tanks in 1987 is a little outdated..

The internet was made for games. and there are a million to choose from. If you like the board variety, don't you have neighbors or a husband or roomies or something? ask them.
