In local news, I am concerned about my finances. See, in May I'm taking a trip up to east TN to see my mother. Between me and her is a McKay's used bookstore. It is about half the size of a K-Mart, and two floors. The first floor is all books. The second floor is a balcony that goes around the whole perimeter and has music.
What makes this such a wonderful place is the scratched CD area. Actually most of the CDs aren't really scratched, they just didn't sell so they slapped a scratched label on them and tossed them in the scratched area. 99 cents, 68 cents, 25 cents, 15 cents a CD. At that price I plow through the whole area and pull out any christian album I've never heard before. I sort out what I like later, and dump the ones I don't like at the local thrift store. If a CD I like really is scratched, well, I have a program that can scan it deep and dig out the music.
Last time I went up to visit Mom she told me that in addition to the Nashville McKay's there is also a Knoxville McKay's. So I had to stop there too. Yesterday I was talking to her about the trip and mentioned I would have to stop at McKay's for a bit. She said, "Oh there's a McKay's in Johnson City too."
I said, "No, no, NO! What did I tell you when you informed me about the Knoxville McKay's? That information is NSFW - Not Safe For Wallet."
So yeah, I'm a bit concerned about my finances right now...
