I am a little upset for a stupid reason.. You see there is this utility knife that I bought around 1999/2000 and it is a nice one and it is the knife I used at work for over 10 years and I always kept it like new.. Well someone borrowed it without asking me and now its all scratched up and the paint is chipped off it. It looks like its been through hell. I know its a stupid reason to get upset but that was my personal property and he didn't even ask if he could borrow it.
That's not stupid. I'd be ticked off too.
"But it's just a razor knife, you can buy a new one for..." But it was MY knife. You take so much as a pencil without asking, you are automatically moved to the list of people I can't trust.
Now if you ASK, I'll probably let you borrow almost anything. Shoot, I've given people a laptop multiple times when they didn't even ask for one, but I knew they needed one and I had some extras floating around. But if you just TAKE something of mine, that tells me you don't respect me the way I and my friends respect each other.
