Yes, I've been observing that. It seemed a reasonable request.

I was happy to see Green's thread in that forum with all the happy faces and Dr. Seuss characters. I think the singles outta bombard the Bible Argument Forum with rainbows, unicorns, and kittens. :p

I like that idea

I feel like I'm getting worse. =/
Change thought feelings change right along with them. Thoughts are what are in control, not feelings. But when one thinks on feelings, feelings are in control and one is on a downward spiral in depression and can't get out until they change their thoughts
Hope you see this to help you in many future troubles that come everyone's way. for if you do see this you won't get tripped up as much as many have been through emotional trauma

Well that was about 30 minutes I won't get back! I can't tell you how many times I've written something and then deleted it. Bottom line is, did you ever get the feeling that we had all these people praying and pleading, and hoping, and being supportive and praying some more and then the storm goes through anyway and wipes out everything and kills ten thousand people and levels the Phillipines and - what? NONE of us got an answered prayer? NOBODY?

Did you ever just get sick of the "God does everything for a reason" deal? Does it fix anything? Does any of that build it all back with whatever is left over? Reading all these threads and prayer, demons and the devil do all these different evil things! They stay pretty busy. But God is quiet! He does things in His own time. In the meanwhile the cancer still happens and the loved one dies or the storm doesn't veer off course or you don't get married or you don't get the job unless of course you catch a break because you studied hard and graduated and achieved certification and you got the job - and then God was with you because you prayed about it?. Or you put your self out there with different kinds of activities in different churches or chat groups or whatever and through a bunch of trial and error finally met a person you really loved and then said to yourself that God matched you up?

Did you ever think maybe we're praying the wrong way or for the wrong things? That's we're not understanding the bigger picture? I'm not questioning what I believe as much as HOW I believe it. The Lord's prayer was the prayer Christ recommended which speaks to the praise of God and to help with self conduct and forgiving others but says nothing of changing the course of the predictable life. Are we praying for the right things? If we are then, when's God going to pony up? If we're not (and this is what I suspsect) then how should we conduct our faith?

I thought about deleting this but what the heck. I don't speak to that many people of these matters except in this kind of annoymous fashion we apparently employ. Not counting you people it would be...let's see.....1, 2.....none altogether.
Ken I see it this way. God gave me a candy store, and said I Am in control of this candy store. I can do whatever I choose with it. With only one condition, ask God first about my plans, seek Father's advice, and abide would be best as for Father knows best.
So one day I said lord I really like recess peanut butter cups and would like to eat ten, is that okay?
Father replies whether I listen or not and says just have one.
Now I as many of us say okay or we do not listen or hear and eat all ten, What happens? We get sick right? Then Father comes and says what happened and you say what you did, Father says you will learn to, listen so I can keep you from getting sick?
Now see Abraham, it took 29 years for him to be 100% sure of father's voice in having the promised Child. the first 15 he had sex with his slave girl Hagar, at thinking this might be what God promised, just as we all do things to this very same effect and destruction happens. And since we all have free will and we do not listen to the creator of all, we cause our messes here on earth, yet God has Mercy, has had this from day one.
Maybe today is the day of belief to learn to hear and listen by Faith in the /finished work of Christ at the cross, and no more of Man's creational formulas trying to get God to respond to us.
Maybe since we are the creation, it might be wiser to respond to God in thanksgiving for Son the only one that could ever please God and is our pinch hitter to Father forever secure in trusting Father, knowing that all our needs are supplied and any future will be, and this is not form one to take for granted, rather appreciate

I try to never question God, make is a cardinal rule, but, sometimes, it happens. We are all human, things will happen to us, like Peter, that will make us go against what every fiber of our being does not want to do. For those not sure of what Peter said, Jesus said that Peter would deny that he was with Jesus as Jesus was being taken in to be judged, scorned, and, whipped, probably, Peter did what we all would do, right? If Peter associated himself with knowing Jesus, Peter thought he would be judged, flogged, scorned, whipped, and, don't forget, killed, 'crucified' on a cross.
Via the showing of the difference of flesh and Spirit of God
As Christ also said tom them in the Garden, Spirit is willing but flesh is weak. At that time before the cross at birth they and all are born dead in the Spirit of God. so we grow up dead to the Spirit of God, tasught to want to know him and can't with flesh, because why? It is weak.
So what is any and all born here on earth need? Life right? And how is that given today? Free or by flesh works, look at me or don't look at me attitudes as what is spurred on from birth on to do good and you will get good, and if not you will not, what a crock a lie
Born again in the Spirit of God by God from God through the cross, the resurrected Christ their is no sin, only when one walks back in the old self flesh is there and this happens when one tries to do right over just trusting God to do in them what they can't in themselves.
Be as Paul,
Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Is not that what God wants us to see and be, or is this just for Paul?

Thank YOU, Kenthomas, for your honesty. :) It was bold of you, but I think in a good way. Sometimes we need to just get that out. And sometimes we need to tell God those things too. Tell Him, "I don't get what's going on up there." but even when we don't get it, the conclusion is to trust Him that HE knows. God is. Sometimes, well, a lot of times, that answer drives me crazy. But it's so very true.

I'm still praying for the Philippines. I don't know what the death toll is. I almost don't want to know.
Thank you for this lil Christian. God bless...

I rarely say that. And it actually contradicts the bible a bit. God causes all things to Work for the good of believers, not that He has things happen for a reason. God takes the circumstance and works it in your favor. That is not the same as God had it happen 'for a reason'.
Thanks Ugly

I hadn't thought of that analogy homewardbound. God bless you!

I can see where you're coming from, but I also kind of think that God lets bad things happen just because. Though God doesn't need a reason to do those kinds of things...I dunno. I'm tired, and I'm all outta energy for the night. >.<
Argh....I was so tired last night. I meant I also kind of think that God DOESN'T LET bad things happen just because. Sorry, that probably confused people...

IKEA: Just when you think you found the end of the store, you find a whole other section. I swear I stepped into Narnia between the curtains and bedding. A strange looking fawn came up to me asking if I wanted to have tea with him. I think his nametag said Timmy or Tumnus. I declined and just asked where I could find closet organizers.

I've thought of that stuff, too. I almost miss the days people didn't depend on money and technology to get through life.

Though....my cabin/tree house will have wi-fi. :p I'm tired of high food prices and junk like that. So I'd be better off raising my own cows and chickens, growing the veggies I like so I know where my food came from and know I can trust it!

I'm not anti-technology, I just like the idea of knowing how and doing things on my own. :D

I wonder which car old retirees purchase now that Cadillacs are marketed toward professionals in their late 20s to mid 40s?

Remember when Caddy drivers were usually grandpa and grandma looking people?

Some people I tell you, some people. I'm in the cat food isle in Walmart, loading up my cart and this lady rolls up in front of me and just sits there for a good minute and whatever I keep picking cat food. She finally speaks up and says , 'can you move your cart to the other side so I can get at the other cat food?' And I reply, 'oh, didn't know I was in the way', then she says, 'well I'm not sitting in the isle for nothing' and I reply 'well you didn't say anything' and she snaps 'well I just assumed that you would know'. Like i'm not a bloody mind reader, even if I was, does it kill you to ask?!'. Way to feel self-important your highness.

Usually if someone is in my way, I will either wait and go get something else, or I'll be like, "Excuse me, sir/ma'am? Could you please move your cart so I can get [whatever I'm getting]?"

Why, oh why can't I sleep? I have to work in seven hours and I'm wired. I tried to count sheep, but then I imagine what the field is like and how beautiful it would be in the summer. Then I think of the farmer and his family. They're probably nice people, polite. The farm they had was probably passed down through the family, and their means to make a living. But what if there was a tornado? What would they do then?

And then, I catch myself worrying about these people, and they don't even exist.

I need to pick up a new hobby. :/
This is how I sometimes go to sleep, actually, this rampant dreaming, as, of, instead of just counting sheep, which I get on 999 and am still awake :D , I just think of something , not necessarily the field like you do and all that is in it or is a part of its fruition, like you, lwtlhd, LOL, but, yeah, I think of something that's being done in my life by God, envisioning how the next day is going to go as He IS leading me. I get enrapt in THIS kind of thought and just wholesome thoughts of planning my future and soon enough I am falling aszzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

LoveNeverFails, I had been offline for a week or so, so I looked at all your recent posts to see how your dad made it through. I was so glad to read that he made it through the storm! Looks like his planning really paid off, and I hope he stays safe :). Now, there was another post I wanted to comment on...

Ugly,

Stop freaking people out with creepy eye photos.
