When he was walking on teh sidewalk there was no one around. Then he walked right into a construction site where workers were but I heard right now that the workers all ran out fearing for their lives... and thanks to NBC news website I did not get the complete story. -_- I just watched on tv how he actually gave up peacefully around 8am...

Glad it ended peacefully, that could've been really bad.

During the summer holidays one of my neighbors goes all or more redneck then usual and fires off illegal fireworks. I live in the suburbanish part of the city. My house and many around here are almost 100 years old, our homes are close together. I'm not comfortable with this show he likes to put on. I've never called the cops. Last night I was sitting in my bedroom and I could hear the swoosh when they'd go up in the air and of course the pop. On the 4th of July one of his fireworks landed on my next door neighbors roof. Scared her and us. My poor animals lose their minds. Between him and some other person a couple of blocks away it sounds like a war zone around here. I know tonight it's going to be another rip roaring fireworks night. The only time I met this neighbor was when his Beagle got into my yard and I brought him back home.

I don't want to be a kill joy. I'm all for fireworks when they aren't going to burn my old house down. Should I call the cops? I hate to do that.
Take a water hose and rain on the house when he starts that stuff up. Maybe he'll ask what you're doing, probably he'll be too busy with his pyromania, but your house won't burn down.

I feel for your pets. To quote a recent comic strip, "Freedom makes our dog's ears hurt."

Yuck. In high school I never did my homework at home lol. I'm already sitting there for 7 hours doing it. Now I have to go home and spent all evening doing it? No thx XD
Lol, yup I used my time very efficiently, I was always first to class during the 10 minute time period, so I used the remaining 9 minutes to kill off my homework.....hahahah....I never had more than 1 hour of "homework" left after that if any at all most days I didn't have homework b/c it was already done by the time I left, of course writing papers took more time and was homework that would take me at least 1-2 hours and I had to do that at home b/c no computer to access during class time lol....

People don't realize that 10 min breaks stretched across over 8 hours adds up to 80 mins or 1hour and 20 mins....the time I used to gleefully kill my homework while other's wasted it away with idle chatter lol......

His demands were that he wanted a sausage mcgriddle, with hashbrowns and extra ketchup from mcdonalds....the police agreed and left it 5 feet outside the door of the building, to which the criminal couldn't resist and just as he touched the hashbrown he was literally shocked by the experience as the cops jumped out of the bushes and tazed him....but don't be sad the story had a happy ending as he ate his mcgriddle meal in the back of a squad car....the end ;P

What he's doing is illegal and dangerous. You don't have to be the one who calls the cops, but someone really should.
When the cops come these days the real fireworks start :( I don't think you should call the cops but just explain it to him, or ask him to move his fireworks further into the street so it doesn't land on your roof and cause problems.....jmo....maybe when you tell him, give him something like a beer/food to smooth it over ;)

We can call the cops anonymously here. He'll never know who called. Every time he sets those things off its a fire hazard, not to mention the chance of blowing his fingers off...

Or you can be an equal annoyance, make a giant firework package from several firecrackers put together put it real close to his house's backyard then light them up all the same time from a safe distance.....it may rattle him into toning down the fireworks lol....of course im kidding here...but sometimes it may be worth considering to fight fire with fire.....oh yea be sure to set it off around 2 am to awaken him lol....

Umm... I'm pretty sure we are all aware of how odd and weird and strange I am...

But just to put the cherry ontop of the ice cream sundae.... I always asked for extra credit... Cause of my lack of knowledge when it came to taking tests... I could do the homework, but extra credit was my best friend when I didn't exactly ace my tests..

I'm so weirded out by the American timeline. Here in Australia, we're well, well, well over half-way through the school year and you guys are just starting!

Isn't it cold where you are currently? Like winter?

Cause it's well... It's officially fall for us now. Yesterday was the last day of summer technically lol
