That sounds like an amazing day. Really does. Simple stuff like that just fills my heart with happiness. :)

Now you have me craving a peppermint Mocha from Starbucks (especially since I have no good coffee around my house...it's really trial and error with store bought coffee). XD Good thing is, I have a BOGO coupon for Starbucks. So I can always take my sis for a coffee between now and two days after my birthday.

Haha - - I was wondering if you were gonna bring him up. :)
Yeah I suspected as such. They are stripping him of all his power and giving it to the deputy mayor, so he will be mayor only by name. The provincial government can't boot him out unless the mayor office/city is unable to function. But he could just leave it alone, just quiet down and stop making a big stink about it, leave with whatever dignity he has left and stop being such an embarrassment to the country.

Well, it's kind of nice that other country's "embarrassments" are news stories, too.

I'll leave it at that.

The only difference is, our leader doesn't have any dignity left. He practically helped it out the door and waved it goodbye.

But I better stop, before I get myself in trouble.

Okay, guys....can you please pray for me? Just a few seconds ago, for the second or third time, I can't remember which, I just went into a coughing fit that caused me to not be able to breathe at all because I was coughing so much. It took a lot of effort to take a breath before I'd cough a bunch again. It's over now...but please. This slightly scares me.

I am trying to get over a cold, but that kind of coughing fit hasn't happened to me in a long time.

Moments when you see- really see- the big picture...

I know everybody has problems, struggles, troubles, burdens. I thought I didn't. I thought, for the longest time, if I just ignored it, then it wasn't happening. I thought-hoped, rather- that I was different, that it couldn't touch me.

And then...I open my eyes and look around...

Kind of wish I hadn't done that, actually. I dunno.

Today I have 5 kids under the age of 6. 4 of whom I have to get ready for a ballet class at 1:00....and 4 giddy mini-ballerinas is the cutest thing ever! And also makes it reallytough to get them ready because they're so spastic!

Apparently he has had a 'come to Jesus moment' he said in an interview recently. I'm sorry but I'm skeptical, I mean it's possible but I'm wondering if it's just words he throwing around. Proof will be in his actions.

I know exactly what you're talking about! Plus - it's a little like pandora's box. You can't unsee the things you now understand. What's worse - and this is true for me but not for you - I can't help much! Part of my seeing a big picture is the realization that I bring absolutely nothing of value to the table But, the miracle is, your vision has been restored and most certainly for good reason! God has given you the dark colored glasses to see face to face the horror of misfortune and He does not hang this millstone around your shoulders haphazardly. He annoints you with this responsibility with intellection!

Granted he screwed up....but I read a little about him....I heard he actually does a pretty good job and City Council has other reasons to have a vendetta against him. Like, he decided to cut down the budget for the city council way before the crack thing. He cut out all the limo's, fancy dinners, and ridiculous travel/meeting budgets and saved a loooot of taxpayer money. I'm not canadian, don't know how true it is because I'm not interested enough to check sources......but everybody's got some kind of dirt....no such thing as a squeaky clean politician.

I'm not trying to scare you but Whooping Cough or Pertussis is going around. You may want to see the doctor i it doesn't clear up. Most people are vaccinated as infants, but we're supposed to get a booster for as adults.

Yeah, people have said that. But I think it might be something different because I've had the cough for a week and it hasn't started doing that until the weekend. I'm thinking I might have a slight case of asthma and can flare up during colds, considering my sister has some asthma issues, too. She used to have it a lot worse when she was younger. She rarely uses an inhaler now, but on the occasion she's had to use it because of allergies or something like that.

Not to be a troll, but every time I read the phrase "embracing singleness" (which has been several), I think of something along the lines of:

^^0 Yeah, self-hugs just don't do it for me...I see your point, though.

'Embrace singleness' aka 'embrace the fact that you will die alone and without any children. Expect a minimal amount of people attending your funeral. But at least you can be a good sport and embrace your future of loneliness! Enjoy!'

^^ You're always entertaining, Arwen, no doubt. I've just been introduced to the dubsteps made from 'The Hobbit' 's soundtrack...very interesting. I like the Misty Mountains one especially.
