I just heard these words on the tv for the first time: "The Hobbit: Smog Of Desolation ."
arwenbaggins surely likes this news.
Interesting. That word, 'desolation' is a controversial one in Daniel for either a time of the Great Tribulation that an 'abomination of desolation' happens, or, if not premillenial viewpoint eschatology for when/how Christ comes back again, you are of the preterist camp and they believe the abomination of desolation was from the destoying of the temple in Jerusalem back in 70 AD..
JRR Tolkien (The author of The Hobbit and Fellowship of the Ring and the two towers, and, lord of the rings and even, think its, 'Sumurillion') is a Christian , by the way.
Anyway, one of my favorite parts of the cartoon movie is when bilbo baggins is walking around smog the dragon in his lair on the mountainside and smog is all puffy and proud, saying that there is not a part of his body that is not strong as a steel plate and bilbo looks around him (being invisible with the ring on cuz smog will burn bb to a crisp otherwise), inspecting the dragon's scales and finds a place of weakness, one little place where the tough hide of smog's belly is missing a 'plate.'
This upsets smog when bilbo alerts smog of this truth and ---oH< I better stop if the movie will follow the feature length animated cartoon, as, don't wanna spoilz things for anybodies
