We went from having a nice, sunny day yesterday, to snowing. I'm glad my best friend decided to use yesterday to go on a walk.
So, here's a little story I'm excited to share. Yesterday morning, about 6:30am, me, my older sister, my younger sister, and my mom, went on a walk with my best friend, to see the sun rise.
My older sister has been courting my best friend for nigh on 2 years now, so of course, they were talking between themselves while my younger sister, my mom and I had a blast talking about nothing important.
We got up on the hill we were going to watch the sunrise from, and my best friend asked I had my camera, I showed him my camera and he smiled and walked away. Well, my best friend had promised that this sunrise was going to be different, and so we waited. Nothing spectacular happened, the clouds didn't change colors, it was a little chilly out, beings the sun hadn't warmed anything up yet. Finally, we realized there wouldn't be much of a sunrise, and so we teased my best friend about his prediction that it would be different this time.
He pulled me aside and asked me to turn my camera on, and of course, me being myself, I had to tease him and tell him there wasn't a sunrise to take a picture of but I turned it on anyway. He left me and took my sister by the hand and proposed to her right then and there, and of course, she said yes, or I wouldn't be sharing :p I did get pictures, but they all turned out blurry. But it was a memorable event :) I'm so happy for the two of them :)

Found out today- through Facebook, no less- that my biological father is in the hospital after falling through a roof yesterday. Internal bleeding. Vomiting blood.

When it rains, it pours.

And...it isn't about me. But I feel very confused as to how I should feel vs. how I DO feel. Don't want to care, not after the last 20 years...but can't stop caring. Want to go see him, but...not sure I could do it.

Sometimes I just want to crawl in bed and hide under my fluffy blankets and stay there. For days.

Nope. I have never had an energy drink and have no interest in it.

Stay away from the RedBull man, it leads to the dark side. The first one I had I wasn't too fond of it, didn't see the hype....second one, there happened to be one in the fridge and I didn't feel like making kool-aid and I was like Hmmmm, this stuff isn't really that bad at all....and it was all downhill from there

I'm a former barista and a single working mom. I welcome caffeine in many of its incarnations.

I'm a caffeine junkie myself, but redbull has it's own appeal...something about the taste I crave.

I've always wanted to try drinking an entire 12 oz or better cup of Espresso by itself.....I can drink 2 pots of coffee and go right to sleep, even though I like caffeine....I can't say it actually "Perks me up" that much.

Yeah. No worries. A few months ago i cut most caffeine out of my diet. I have a coke every so often but generally if i have soda i go caffeine free. Also with hypertension and a propensity for anxiety i'm not about to go after something that might jack me up. Even though caffeine doesn't normally do that to me, not going to risk it.

So I got my ex husband's financials in today. (He went nuts so I have to take him back to court next week.) Turns out he has only been paying 7% of his income to support our son. SEVEN PERCENT!! (Standard is 20%.) I have worked and fought and begged and prayed for every cent in the last 3 and a half years while he has been flushing 6 figures a year down the toilet.

grrrr.

If it's not too personal, what condition is it you have....is there a name for it? I know you have to take blood pressure meds and watch what you eat but that's all I really know about it.
