Ha ha I find that hilarious! I know chair Legs were a big issue with some Victorians but Hot water bottles well I'm not sure when if ever they had rubber ones but when I was a Child we had a stone water bottle around the house. I don't know where it came from and it was never used. You were supposed to fill it with hot water. There was nothng erotic about it at all. Just the opposite I would think

I do always wonder that if my mom never had a miscarriage and my little sister was born, how will my life be different? Would I find it easier find girlfriends? Would I have more friends and be less shy? I know God's purpose was for me to be an only child but I'm still figuring out why.

I don't know any of these answers of course but I do understand thinking about what might've been. I had 2 miscarriages before my Son and Daughter were born. I didn't know the gender of either baby. My mind goes there sometimes, one would be 15 now and the other 14. What if's can be difficult. If it is any consolation both of my children are shy, they're a year apart, so I'm not sure if having a sibling helps with being more outgoing.

I have 5 siblings and I'm mostly introverted and I was painfully shy when I was younger. You know in a lot of ways I'm glad I was. My friends I made are still people I have in my life today. I think being who I was kept me pretty grounded through some very difficult times.

I think when you do enter into a relationship you'll cherish it and that's a good thing.

Do you still have Wimpy Bars in the US? We still have some here. They were about the first Hamburger chain in the UK
during the sixties they were very popular. The food is better than McDonalds because it is cooked on order instead of laying around for who knows how long. Another good place we had here was Wendys but they folded up sometime in the eighties.

Wendy's is a major chain and quite common. I've never heard of Wimpy's.

I have recently drifted into the habit... of making a big pot of homemade chocolate pudding on Sunday afternoon. I'm not sure how I made a habit of this. And then for the next three or four days I either have a bowl of chocolate pudding for breakfast, take some to work for lunch or both. It's really good though. I don't use that powder junk for cocoa. I melt down three bars of Moser Roth 85% cocoa and a box of Schogetten chocolate.

But how did this become a habit? Biting nails is a habit. Sitting down and flipping on the TV is a habit. Making a pot of pudding on Sunday afternoon? How does that even make sense?

While waiting for an appointment today, I had the chance to flip through channels and came across one of my favorite shows as a kid:

It had one of (what I thought at the time) the coolest theme songs ever, as well as all kinds of aerial battles (with a helicopter!), and one of my biggest Hollywood crushes ever as a kid (Jan-Michael Vincent.)

Sigh... Watching the last 15 minutes of the show gave me that terrible moment when you realize something you loved so much as a kid (my family watched it together every week) is yet just another cheesy relic from a decade LONG past!!! :(

I won't even dare look up David Hasselhoff and the original Knight Rider theme. :(

And I think we should call this New Tradition, "You Really Need to Share with Friends."

(Expectantly appoints herself to Lynx's Friends List, deluxe-sized bowl in hand.)

The first season was great. Later they transferred production to Canada, and it was terrible. The laser shots were drawn in crayon... :(
