If you're going to make statements like that, you should get your facts right, especially here.

I'm not being "uptight" btw

Glad you weren't being uptight. Here have some cookies. There really aren't any facts, the person was just saying, we should treat everyone kindly, think of that person as Jesus. What's so wrong with that? He wasn't saying, well it was Jesus and he's coming back today because I saw him on the subway. I just don't think it was a big deal and he wasn't being Biblical or not Biblical.

That's is all Jim, beam me up Scotty! I got things to do! That's a Star Trek Reference.

What if Jesus was walking with us and we did not know it. What i mean is what if he is that homeless man that you passed everyday that has a sign it is end of the world. Just a thought
a great sentiment - and scriptural. :D

Matthew 5 (ESV)
[SUP]37 [/SUP]Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? [SUP]38 [/SUP]And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? [SUP]39 [/SUP]And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ [SUP]40 [/SUP]And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers,[SUP][a][/SUP] you did it to me.

Try a cactus. They live through just about anything. . .
. . . except me. Somehow, I can't keep a cactus alive. My son should really feel either very afraid for his life or grateful that he still has it.

And sorry that I've been absent. Crazy stuff at work. Lots to do with my side job. Parenting. And loquacious out-of-state houseguests. I'll have more time (after a day-long nap) next week. C'mon, ya' know ya' miss me. =)

I WILL socialize tonight, and I WILL enjoy it.

Someone save me. Usually I like going out and stuff, especially concerts, but I almost don't wanna tonight. =\

I just got home from Bath and Body Works. You see, the scent of lime makes me happy, so when I found out that they had coconut lime in stock, I went and bought some. I smell SUPER good! :D

Sooooooo....what did ya get me ????? :)
haha...umm...nothing.
I bought something for my cousin. He is an artist known for his California landscapes, but makes a ton of money as an art dealer, so he is not wanting for anything. I like to get him "bad taste artsy" gifts. I bought him a tie with Edvard Munch's "The Scream" on it one Christmas:

The_Scream.jpg

He hates Thomas Kincaide, so I would have probably gotten him a TK mug, but I saw an inflatable "Starry Night." starry.jpg The hilarious thing is that he will probably put the tacky inflatable Van Gogh right next to a $350,000 oil painting.

me too!

i've only had marginal success with gardening with succulents.

i tend to do much better with those water-loving, easy-keepers that are far more forgiving when it comes to my fussing. : )

p.s. you are muchly missed, mistybear! (see how much? i alliterate-d for you!)

boy can i relate to that. while i'm more of a "body shop" girl, than B&BW, almost nothing can cheer me up as instantly as my favorite scents, such as citrus (grapefruit & lime especially) and some of the tropicals, like mango & coconut. and fig. i'm also very partial to honey.

in fact, i have a the "honeymania" body butter next to my desk that i often can't stop smelling.

as i've said, sometimes i feel like i live my life through my nose first.
