Hang in there, it doesn't last forever :)
Plus, those little mostly-toothless smiles are fantastic.

Does your baby have a favorite thing to chew on? I just ask because neither of mine were big on teething rings, my son liked chewing on straws and my daughter steals the baby wipes and gnaws on those, or the handles of her baby spoons (soft rubber/plastic ones).
At least, she does that when she isn't trying to eat the wheels off of her brother's cars.
I know it doesn't, but it's already lasted long enough.
all her chew toys I left home... I'm only worried cause she's not eating

Babies will almost always eat when they get hungry enough- and it doesn't usually take long. If you're really worried, it can't hurt to take her to the doctor. She might just need a little pain reliever before she feels like eating?
I hope I don't seem bossy or whatever, I just know how much no-fun-at-all the teething can be.

I don't see the point of life if it's just filled with hurt and sadness.

Surely you can see a pin-prick of light in the darkness. There's hope yet. Keep persevering, but not in your own strength. Persevere in God's strength. Take note of your signature. It's a good reminder and verse of encouragement.

Today I was reminded why I DO NOT like wearing dresses! Yuck. I'm tempted to wear just fuzzy lounge pants and a t-shirt all day tomorrow.

This whole day has been entirely too crazy, particularly as a follow-up to an entirely stressful weekend. Now that my kiddos are in bed, I can't decide if I need quiet or a different kind of crazy to relax.

That means I have a choice between taking a bath and going to sleep, or getting really wild and watching The Muppets Treasure Island while consuming ice cream.

Decisions, decisions.

It's Monday. I don't know if anyone is going to be able to relate to this or not, but I felt like throwing it out there real quick. A forum post costs a lot less than a counselor.

So, this past weekend I'm in the field training, and the WHOLE time I'm out, I couldn't stop thinking about the family back home. It lead to a few mistakes , and fortunately they weren't costly ones. But being focused is a big deal when you have the safety of three other joes that you have to consider. I usually don't become that spaced out, it was an unusual experience, and I don't feel that I'm doing it very much justice in trying to explain it.

Ah well.

I don't see the point of life if it's just filled with hurt and sadness.
When the butterfly first comes out of it's cocoon, it has to struggle a lot. And then it must flap it's wings to dry them and for them to expand. If anyone comes along to help the butterfly out of the cocoon, it's wings will not develop correctly. For it is in the struggle that the fluid needed to expand it's wings is pushed out from it's body and into it's wings.

The pain the we experience in life is used to make us stronger, wise, or to humble us, for whatever purpose God has deemed. We don't always understand why things are happening, but we know that we can hold onto the promise found in the Bible that: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

Hold on tight to God and trust Him, even when it seems like there is no sense in doing so.

I'm surprised you know what VHS is and that you've experienced such a classic delight.
Yup, I was born in '96 and my parents were the kind of parents that waited until they absolutely had to before they switched over to the latest technology. So I have LOTS of VHS tapes, most are still in very good condition. :) Most of them are classic Disney.

So cinder..yer' a great poet, and now a great photographer! Is there nothing you don't exceed in?

*blushes* ummm. I can't run very well. Not very athletic. And I never learned to draw better than stick figures and even those are pretty unimpressive. There's a reason I have developed skill with words.
