I can't help but laugh. Last night I went to walmart to get a refund directly from the photo center. The process took forever, because the associates were experiencing some technical difficulties. After several attempts, they claim to have finally been successful. Today, I checked my bank statement online, and this is what I see:

- Today I finally met with the woman whom I want to mentor me. We talked for about 2 hours, about anything and everything, it was great. AND, while we were leaving, I saw a friend I hadn't seen in a really long time, one who I know is struggling, and we're going to meet up sometime to catch up. So, great timing.
- I thought that meeting with the woman today would make me want to stay here more, but strangely it made me feel more at peace about the possibility of moving, because of the way she encouraged me and things she said (not even related to me moving).
- I am getting my hair cut tomorrow. I haven't gotten it cut in...10 months. I'm actually going to a beauty school to get it done. I'm a little nervous since my hair can be difficult (it is VERY thick and long and curly) but hey, might as well give the students experience with as many hair types/difficulties as possible.
- My brother and sister were visiting this past week while I was on vacation. I loved it; I love them; I love my family. We had times during games where we laughed so hard we cried and couldn't talk for a good 5 minutes. My sister brought her 6 month old Golden Retriever, who is a DOLL, but my cats didn't like him at ALL. They were only on the ground when they needed to eat/drink/potty, otherwise they were up on tables and out of reach. Now that they are gone, the cats have freedom again, so my wonderful kitty has planted herself on my feet as I sit in my chair. She is fast asleep, warm and fuzzy. <3

What more do I need to do to become a manager??? Yeesh!
My coordinator was talking about me continuing to get mentored under my manager once he is back from vacation, but most often, I am the one that takes initiative and does things before he gets to it. And also cus he is a control freak so he wouldn't delegate anything to me anyways. So like what else do I need to learn??? I am already doing his job while he's away, and doing really well too.
It just bothers me, I feel like I am being dragged along. With no end in sight. Just give me a promotion, or tell me that It won't be for another few months, and I'll find a new job.

Today, I lost a very important person that I took for granted on many occasions. I'm filled with remorse and regret for the decisions I made as well as the choices I did not make.
it's too late to change things now, and I'm stuck with the current reality facing me.. I'm asking myself why I was so blind, why I did not see the value and importance of this person sooner. It's too late now... they're gone. And I'm left alone to wonder why I did the things I did, why I wasn't able to see past my foolish pride. Why didn't I act with more caution.
Guess I'll never know.
And there is my random thought for the night.
