William-
thank you :) it means a lot that you think so.

My mom wasn't always a bad mom...she had a lot of moments of awesomeness...which is where I learned it :p but, it might be time (as you and others have been telling me) to get away from her and my family. I can't change her, she can't change me, and we fight more than anything these days. We could both use some distance, I think.

Cristen...

As I was reading your reply & saw that you said "it's going to be ok"..immediately I felt like God said,"No..you've been ok for far too long..I am going to make you exceedingly better than ok...& blessed more than you've ever imagined as you submit yourself to me!"
Don't ever settle for "ok" Cristen. God has so much more than that planned for you. I knew what you meant, but I really felt as I was praying for you today, and after what you typed here..that God really wants you to know that you don't ever have to settle for ok-ness or mediocre thing's in your life. He's here to bless you & strengthen you like you've never known before.

Use that strength of the Holy Spirit He's placed in you to transform your mind & heart as you seek Him. I know good thing's are around the corner for you...they've been there waiting, and God is waiting for you to turn that corner & receive them.

Well,I dunno how much of a revelation it was,as just something I felt He was saying strongly to me about Cristen. Everything must be weighed against scripture,of course.

Oh..and Cristen...if you see this,I got yer' PM & made a final reply back..lol So plz look at it! Thank you, btw. :)

I have so much on my mind today. So many prayers feel like they've been answered, and I think maybe I'm able to see where to go next. Granted, per my usual, having one question answered only leaves me with more questions...but now that I can take some kind of useful action, I feel better. More peaceful.

I wish that I was the kind of woman who could remain classy and even kind of elegant through pain and trials. I like to imagine myself on the big screen, black and white of course, wearing some satiny evening gown and elbow length gloves with my hair all twisted and pinned into a chignon...standing in the doorway of my mansion, with a crowd of rich people behind me drinking champagne while I stare, chin up, into the starry night...a tear escaping and rolling down my powdered and rouged cheek...

*sigh*
I'm just not that kind of girl. I'm messy, and dramatic, and I'm more likely to forget or not care about showering for a few days and I'm almost always in yoga pants and hoodies, and my hair prefers to be constantly falling out of the messy bun or braids I put in...and when I cry...there's no silent or pretty way to do it. It's hideous. Like a wounded walrus or something. And I have a tendency to flop face down on the floor to cry. And there's never champagne involved.

Now I kinda wish I owned an evening gown.

Or at least a mansion.

I set up another meeting with the pastor I talked to before.
I really wish I had some ice cream right now.

Yeah... when God says something strongly to you I view it as a revelation from God. He used you to display his will for MissCris. :) I think its awesome when we follow through with things like that because you can lift so many people up that way. Praise God.

Strawberry ice cream.
I like strawberry ice cream, but I was thinking of something with about a million more calories...Ben & Jerry's Phish Food...chocolate ice cream with chocolate fishes and caramel and marshmallow swirls. YUM. Pretty sure I gain 10 pounds every time I so much as look at a pint of that stuff.

Thanks Raine! I sometimes question myself if/when I am hearing God,but once & a while it just seems so loud & clear, and it's not how I normally think or something I'd come up with on my own,so then I just by faith hope that what I'm hearing is really Him speaking to me or through me. Of course with Cristen & I,we have a long friendship & a bond that is being healed & repaired by God through His Spirit, and I always have to trust Him & submit my thoughts concerning her even more so than I would for so & so down the street. (if that makes any sense) At least for now. God is doing a great work in her. It's funny how all we have to do sometimes is just get out of His way,and thing's go so much further, smoother, better. Even when they are difficult,it still is never as difficult or painful as when we're doing things in & of our own strength.

I can't even begin to tell you how much God has shown me about myself through this entire process.

I think you and MissCris are both blooming beautifully. :) It's been a blessing seeing the healing process occur over the past few days here on CC.

I definitely agree with you. When we step out of the way, we realize that God's way and timing works much better than ours. If only we could do this in every area of our life.

Man. I forgot how exhausting and overwhelming job searches/applications can be. Even worse so because I am out of state. I haev a feeling I will not be able to get a job until I actually move, rather than having a job lined up beforehand...

my best advice is to make sure you have one before you move. Nothing worse then thinking you may have something and get there and you don't then in a mad rush to find something else, and the something else don't show..

I like the marshmallow swirl part. You can do amusing things with marshmallows, especially mini-marshmallows in cocoa.

Just watched my favorite sad movie again. It's only my second time seeing it because I can't even handle watching it that often. It's so intense. THE FEELS, people. The feels.

Part of my job involves going to this building that's a kind of sign of times. I have to go to practically every floor and check controls and metering. It's a 12 story building and it's completely vacant.

The building always makes noises and it has a 400 ton centrifugal chiller and water tower so I expect noise. I just don't expect footsteps. That's what I heard when starting work down in the basement. I was taking readings off a panel when I heard what sounded like a bowling ball directly above me - like the 1st floor. Only the 1st floor is all lobby and loading dock.
I shook it off and finished up and from there went to the elevators. There's four of them all cable drive and the monitoring is shut off. It's a card access to get on so I swiped and pushed up. The #4 car seems to always come first and as expected the green lit "ding" from 4 came up. I walked in that direction when the doors to 4 abruptly closed and...."ding" another set opened to #2. I went ahead and got on the elevator to go to the 12th floor. From there I would climb the steps to the penthouse where the chiller is housed. I pushed 12 and the lights flickered a little as the 80's style abrupt take off gave me a little sweet belly as it gained speed. Too much time went by and I looked up at the floor panel and 6 went by ....then slowly 7. Finally the elevator came to a stop. On 8. Ding.

I got off thinking I'd try to pick up more reliable 4 car and as I exited the 2 car I reached in and pushed B (basement) so the car wouldn't stay on 8. The doors to 2 stayed open. "Ding" it said again. The lights were on and presently the only light I had so I decided to use the stairs. I walked down the long hall and took this picture.

If I had seen these 2 down at the other end, I wouldn't be writing this...

its a Korean movie called "A moment to remember". It is SO good. It centers around a romance but I don't consider it a chick flick. Every man I know who's watched it has confessed to crying at least once by the end.
It's the kind of movie that leaves my mind reeling, wondering what I would do if I were faced with such circumstances.

I just...I just can't even say enough about it. This is why I can't handle seeing it too often!
