I don't understand the big deal about Chick-fil-A's lemonade. It's not THAT good…

Ever have one of those days when you're bored, restless but lack the desire to get off your bed to go out, so you lay in bed playing Temple Run on your iPhone

(Yes and no, Arwen. I don't play temple run, or have an iphone. ^_~)

So, a small comment, if I may...everyone...

To say that all things are something, is NOT the same as saying nothing is. Think on this a little deeper, and then in the same mystical way the phrase "There are no accidents." keeps getting repeated in Kung Fu Panda, let me say:

All things can be marvelous, and miracles can be quite ordinary.

...not in any way that cheapens or degrades what is, but simply for some encouragement in the knowing...take heart, my friends!

When it comes to writing stories, there are two main methods. Some people plan things out, while others just have a vague idea and lets their brains somehow get them to their goal.

I sorta do things both ways. I plan scenes out but when it comes to the details I just try to logic the story along to where it needs to go. Dialogue and scenery are made up pretty much on the spot.

Also, I'm learning to love editing.

I want to write a short story series.

Short stories are more fun to make than novels, that's for sure.

I've been using my journal more the past couple of days. Some thoughts just don't need to be publicized on the Internet.

Going on a train tomorrow, not across Canada or anything, just to a small town. Super excited. The people running the train are all suppose to dress up in clothes from the early 1900's.

I find it interesting that many people who read my posts in this forum are surprised to learn how very soft spoken I am when they hear me. :D

This sounds so weird but...in the next few weeks, I'll probably be moving. The house I've been living in since the day I was born...not gonna be in it anymore. I'm not sad, because I have peace in my heart it's time to leave. It just sounds WEIRD. And I will miss this home a little since so many memories are here (Good and bad...more good than bad though I think). But that's normal I think.

nah - I kind of expected you to be somewhat soft spoken for some reason. And very strong. Most people seem to thing that strong = loud, which is not true. But that is why they are surprised.

I have a confession to make. I...snuggled with another dog today. It was an adorable yorkie puppy. Don't tell my dog, okay? :)

My dog knows every time I've been close to another dog. He'll give me the cold shoulder & won't come to me, but is all forgiving at mealtime. ;)

I love old stuff. Went on a steam powered locomotive train from 1911 today. The smell of old wood crickety cracketying as the cabins sways side to side down the track. I find myself often in a daydream, imagining and wondering who sat in my seat 100 years ago, who touched the hand railing, who were they, what was their story? I am taken back in time imagining a cabin full of men in top hats smoking cigars and drinking. Wondering how they spoke.

I will always be drawn to The Old. When I am in places like that I usually try to find a space where it's rarely touched, put my hand on it and wonder who else touched that same spot. It's a little odd qwerk about me, I guess, but it makes me feel connected to history, to the possibility. It makes my imagination run wild. Ahh! I love The Old :)

I highly doubt people 100 years from now would do historical tours of our Walmarts lol.

Novels are too long for me to write. Short stories don't capture the depth I want to write at. I got it! A short story cycle. I have one in mind, a collection of 15 short stories, each about 5,000 words long, which connect together to form a plot like a season of a TV show would.

Hair cut time? Considering a drastic change. My hair is quite long right now, almost middle of my back. But I think it makes me look younger. I am thinking of going short, like this:
