That awkward moment when your eyes can't un-see the last 6 or 7 posts in the awkward moments thread concerning excessive amounts of blood...pee..toilets filled with coleslaw...bathroom deli's...and the most horrific of all ....old perverted men @ WAL-MART.

I feel so very very fragile right now...someone hold me.

OKAY here are some of my awkward moments -_-

Here's an awkward story. My family stopped at a restaurant to go to the washroom, I followed my bro towards the washroom. He went into the mens room which was open but the women's room was occupied so I waited. (He saw me stop to wait just before he went into the mens room) After a short amount of time I decided to check the handicapped washroom and it was available so I went inside there. When I came out of the washroom I opened the washroom door to come out, the elderly women that was inside the other washroom came out the same time and I witnessed my brother jump out to scare her! Hahahaha He thought it was me! The poor lady put her hand on her chest like she was going to have a heart attack! He was so embarrassed and it was hilarious watching him try and explain that he was trying to scare someone else. Hahahaha

Another awkward moment...I was trying to stop calling peoples names so I replaced it with nicer words (but used it in sarcasim) I would say to my siblings, WHATEVER YOU SAY SWEETHEART! Silly things like that! While I was at school in gym class I said (arrogantly :/) that I bet I could run all 10 laps around the gym (You had to run up and down the plat forms too) but about halfway through I started to walk because I had broken all my toes about 3 days before on one foot so my foot started to hurt. When I started walking a guy from my class said to me "So much for being able to run all the laps!!" to which I replied that all my toes were broken on my left foot so my foot hurt and that's why I slowed down...He answered me "Yeah right you wouldn't run at all if your toes were broken" and in my anger I said "WHATEVER YOU SAY HONEY" infront of surrounding peers! Needless to say he blushed and when I saw him blush it made me blush!! and then to add to the awkwardness another class mate said "Honey? What next are you gonna call him sugar!" I was so embarrassed...(I ended up showing them my broken toes...half my foot was black and blue) :p

I have also have a lot of awkward moments I laughed while taking a drink and spit it out! I HATE THAT! haha

The awkward moment when your teacher asks everyone to take their shoes off (and just wear socks) and you didn't wear your socks on that day!

The awkward moment when you're surrounded by a large group of friends and your dad makes a swimming motion through the crowd and then kisses you on the cheek (WHILE your friend is introducing you to their dad haha)

If you hit the 'reply with quote' button at the bottom right of a post, it quotes the post, so people know who you're talking to and what you are responding to. Otherwise you look like you're having a conversation with yourself.

I'm really good at making correlations. Its like my only superpower. It makes making metaphors as easy as serving cold cereal.

But, what really herds my goats, is when I see a Share if you Agree thing on Facebook where the Message is like, "every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings." Share if you agree. Or...

At the behest of a new Christian that I've taken under my wing, we watched a Documentary called Spirit Science, cause they wanted to know why it was wrong.

The Spirit Science - RationalWiki

Essentially, the premises and the conclusion of everything in the whole 4 hours of it, was circular reasoning.

ie "Timberwolves are fluffy because they live in the cold, and they are able to live in the cold because they are so fluffy."

Or Looking at the stars and saying, well they got there because God placed them there, and we know that God placed them there because if they weren't there, then God wouldn't have placed them there. AMZNG!! Share if you agree!!


Anyways the Documentary moves really fast, and pulls so much garbage out of thin air that it would give Elrond Hubbard a run for his money. They gloss over just about every popular conspiracy and superstitious belief that you can think of and then sort of reverse narrativize it into a fluidic semi-coherent story.

And people are falling for it.

Christians even.

Which there has been all kinds of New Agey stuff in Christian circles for years. Everything from Obama is the Antichrist to the whole Millenium Debate, is all shrouded with a sort of murky indefensible theoretical quicksand.




So this is one of those, "That awkward moment when no one does their due diligence"

So in the age where the total sum of all the knowledge of man is at our fingertips, superstitious bunk gains traction.

How is that possible?

Thank God for a yank from a Christian sister pulling the skirt back into place who was sitting at the back row - helping to save me from embarrassment. Which I still felt with a red face and horror realizing my awkward moment.

Bless your heart! That almost happened to me when I was a teen. Fortunately, there was a woman behind me who pointed it out before I left the restroom. :) I would have been mortified. :)
