Over the past week or so I prayed for the lady at the general store that's near Cristen. It's hard not to assume that she has mental problems, what with her offering weapons to babies without their parent's permission. I know this sounds like I'm just making a joke, but I'm not. Anyway, may she find peace and a calm, rational mind through our Lord

RoboOp, dliz and chefj, I have prayed for all of you (and your families) during this time, that He will keep you all safe and provide for your needs. I know that some in the Philippines do not even have basic services right now. Please let us know how you are as soon as you can. Until we hear from you, know that you are on our hearts and in our prayers.
Gary, I have prayed that God will heal this head injury quickly and completely, and that everything will stabilize soon. You will be whole again very soon.

I've been praying for some unspoken needs of some of the CC members here.
-- mostly about things that they reveal about themselves through various snippets contained in their posts....and also as the Lord leads. This is also what prompted my short "vacation" from CC as I had to prioritize a few things.

I have prayed for the Bible Discussion forum, that it will be flooded with true believers who know how to share the truth boldly and in love with true seekers, and that God will deal with the abundance of mockery and personal attacks.
We can complain about it or we can be part of the solution. When I complain about it, it sounds too much like gossip. Let us be Your witnesses, Lord.

In addition to the specific prayer requests elsewhere on this forum, I prayed for:
You - who have a great job, great looks, intelligence, humor - - yet struggle with self-esteem issues.
You - who are such a strong person, that you continue to realize that it's okay to also show vulnerability, and that it's stepping stone to a wonderful but different kind of courage.
You - to stop seeing yourself as the Ugly Duckling, and start seeing within you the same beauty that God sees.
and You - who have such wisdom and insight, that you would be bolder in sharing instead of timid as soon as your comments begin to get profound.
You - who have a great job, great looks, intelligence, humor - - yet struggle with self-esteem issues.
You - who are such a strong person, that you continue to realize that it's okay to also show vulnerability, and that it's stepping stone to a wonderful but different kind of courage.

The thing is, I think a lot of us can see ourselves in at least some of the prayers Steve posted, so it's probably best left like it is, and each reader can ask the Lord to help them be more like Him, especially if a conviction is felt concerning anything we read.
