Yeah, I've embraced this idea too! It will be so pro if I manage wait until my wedding day to kiss my wife (whoever she may be). More guys ought to embrace this! You know you're a strong, manly man of God when you embrace this idea, and throw in some man grunts, ha ha.

I have thought about this before.

I wondered if hugging would count?

I'm 30, single and never kissed. My best friend and her now husband did not kiss until the altar. She has told me on numerous occasions that if she did it over, she would not wait to kiss. Just one opinion I suppose. I don't know that I will or won't wait. I guess I haven't felt a strong conviction to not do it, but I hope I'm listening in case He does. :)

I am certainly with Narn on this one! I mean, if you can't control yourself from a simple hug....maybe you need a straight jacket....hahahaha!!! ;)

I'm proud to say I'm 19 and never dated or kissed. It thrills me to think of my first kiss on my wedding day, in front of hundreds, with Sixpence None the Richer song "Kiss Me" playing and a giant Hershey kiss wedding cake.

My primary love language is physical touch, so I know if I kiss before my wedding, I'll get myself into trouble. God has lead me to do this, and will lead me through it. (Plus I have other restrictions for myself that will keep the accountability going. Praying for a husband who feels the same, if not been doing the same.)

Like how Tim Allen does it: Argh argh argh argh!!! Raoh raoh raoh!!! :)

That's awesome! Keep at it, and I'm sure you'll be an excellent, godly wife & mother. I'm also 19 and never dated or kissed. Just be careful not to get puffed up by this accomplishment as I tend to be prideful about this myself

It would reduce your chances of contracting some disease before your wedding. Hey, I'm not only not going to kiss, I'm not going to even hold her hand without wiping mine and hers with anti-bacterial wipes first. The first time her germ riddled hand touches mine is going to be at the altar!

I'm sorry, but I really had to laugh at this one. Thanks, MahogonySnail :). Nothing says "romantic wedding night" like a big jacuzzi bath together... in a tub full of liquid sanitizer...

Funny thing is though, I've known a few people like this... who were avoiding contact not because they were Christians, but because they felt everyone else in the world is apparently too germy! (I apologize if "germy" isn't a technical word--I have a friend whose father says, "If you can figure out a way to spell it, then it's a word," and I've kind of adopted that idea. ;))

I laughed at this too haha. But in all seriousness I tend to agree to some extent - I avoid handshakes wherever possible, which is extremely difficult in work situations! And when I am subjected to hand-to-hand contact, I wash my hands immediately. Palms can be really dirty, so I prefer to do this:

Maybe you could do this at the altar instead??

you could be setting a new trend Sharp. Hi-fiving your boyfriend or girlfriend is a very hygenic alternative to kissing and holding hands.
