You're going to feel so much better overtime. I don't even miss it anymore.

I bought a stationary bike about three weeks ago, and I ride it for 45-60 minutes every other day, consistently. It's gotten a bit less killer recently, so that's progress...

I've also been cutting as much bread, pasta, and sugar out of my diet as I can stand to do without going crazy. Pasta and baked goods are my downfall, so I've taken it slowly. Instead of serving bread with dinners, I do two different kinds of veggies. Instead of toast for breakfast, I have an egg. Instead of pasta...well, I'm working on that one.

Baby steps.

But I can feel the difference, I have more energy and way less heartburn, and less headaches. Would be nice to see the difference on the scale...but I'll get there.
Way to go Cris! Don't even think about the scale. I started out worrying about the scale, then moved on to worrying about measurements, and finally decided to just think about how I'm feeling. Much more encouraging that way. I don't know if I could give up bread and pasta. You are hardcore! :)

Amen! I have found out I enjoy life a lot better if I throw out unnecessary numbers - like age, height and weight. I let my doctor worry about those, that's why I pay him. =^.^=

One of my favorite athletes is UFC Champion "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey. Here is a short training video of hers. It is only two minutes long, but it always inspires me to want to workout.

Yaaaay! Fun thread! I just got a gym membership for the first time in almost 10 years, last month! I'm loving it! I'm following this program Bodybuilding.com - The Female Training Bible: Everything You Need To Get The Sexy Body You Desire! (sorry about the weird title) because I have no idea what to do in a gym (I've just been doing videos at home) and I NEED a plan. I can't just walk into the gym and make it up as I go along. Some things I think I could handle more of and some of it I barely make it through. Lol but I'm trying to take it slowly because I always end up pushing myself too hard and getting injured. :( I work out 3-4 times a week and I try to eat as cleanly as possible, though this past week was an utter failure in that department. By the way, why didn't anyone tell me that lifting and working out this much would make me hungry ALL THE TIME?! Geez. All in all though, I'm thrilled! XD

edit: oh, and I usually use BodyRock for my HIIT workouts.

Yay Cat! You're going to love the gym! And yeah, what the heck is with the crazy appetite?? I feel like I need to eat the whole world after I work out. I have started working out at night to help with it, so I could just go to bed instead of eating back all my calories.

The Gym is like the only place (apart from maybe university) where you pay to do hard work...

You're all nuts. :)

I like to take hikes. I guess it is kind of moderate exercise, walking 8 or 10 miles up and down hills on some trails. I find it stimulating. I seldom go to the gym because that seems so monotonous.

Holy Shamoly.

That video of Ronda Rousey was only 2 minutes long?

Seriously. I felt like I'd just worked out for 2 hours from just WATCHING it...

As much as I've always loved the super-athletic look... I'm going to stick with walking. And naps. After all, resting between laps is VERY important (does it count if the "rest" is for days in between?!)

*back in the days of the cavemen*
"Hey would you like to move these rocks for fifty clams?"
"Sure, I could use the extra money."
"No no no, YOU pay ME for the privilege of moving the rocks."
"What? Why would I do that?"

*today*
"Ten bucks a month for a gym membership? Man that's cheap! Sign me up."

I considered exercising for about five seconds this morning. That's four seconds longer than I usually do. I've quintupled my results! Progress!!!
