My destiny? That sounds very Darth Vader-esque. LoL 🀣 not that I mind.
I guess all I need to do is be open to whatever the Lord has me to do, camel or no camel.πŸ™‚

yep it does have that iconic Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker moment..
However unlike Luke who screams out saying
"Noooooooooooo"
you'll be shouting
"yeeeeesssssss".

Yep, I think I'm susceptible to this. I am attracted to women who are friendly to everyone and always smiling, so it always does introduce some confusion in my mind: "Does she like me? -- Or does she just like everybody?" :/

But now, after coming out of the back end of a long-term bad relationship and getting older, I've really lost all sense of embarrassment so I have no qualms about coming out and saying, "I kind of dig you, do you dig me?" Then, if not, we can still be friends. I'm ok with that. I'm getting too old to play games or worry about stuff for too long that may not actually be real. LOL.

Never hurts to ask. If you get rejected just write her off.
Personally I do not remain just friends with someone I have feelings for. If the feelings fade, fine.
Honest and up front is best. State your case.

Yes correct and the best thing to do also is don't assume...some people are just naturally friendly... 😊

I never had the desire to do the friend thing when things went south. I felt the same way that you do as far as getting older and contemplating entering a relationship in regards to playing games or having a sense of anxiety. You reach a certain point in your life where you either know what you want or you don't. If you know what you want and see what you want in someone who is age appropriate, single and available you just roll the dice and go for it.

Honest and up front is indeed best. Yes indeed, state your case and promote your brand. I get that friend thing too. Best to just cut 'em loose and carry on. You definitely don't have fear of rejection and that is a good thing because fear of rejection will hinder the pursuit or simply stop it in it's tracks. Being tentative with a fear of commitment is not a good thing either. It is best to be bold and decisive or get out of the game.

Oh no no. Actually I'm terrified of rejection. I don't like to make an attempt until I've had a good solid attempt and amount of time to give her a decent feel for who I am too. It also gives me a chance to sift through initial puppy love if she has it, and is quickly no longer interested later.
Or I'll strike while the iron is hot, if it's appropriate.

Granted, mistakes happen, but I'm cautious with the types of women I get involved with so I don't worry about it creating some insane crazy false claims from her (I've had my share of dealing with those. they purposefully lead you on, use you, hint that they like you. Then when you admit it, they go screaming to your friends that you're a stalker and call their male army to arms).

I learned to spot those kinds a mile away. My policy to that is: Never buy her anything. period. And if she asks when you're not dating or hints? Run.
She can have flowers after we've decided to give things an honest shot.

Reading this made me chuckle a little and reminds me of certain dilemmas i had when I was much younger and had the same thinking you used to have....the common
"Does she like me?....Or is she just friendly to everyone like this?"..
Luckily I didn't come into any embarrassing situations....at the time...😊😊
Human behaviour eh??
Someone can like you but it doesnt really show at all coz they are either shy or are just being cool about it all or perhaps are content to keep it to themselves....then in the other hand someone can not like you you can easily think they like you coz if how they behave towards you..πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ....

Good that that your would rather just be done with it and ask them...

That is Sad life πŸ˜€

For me Telling someone you have feelings for them is worth it even if they don't feel the same... Than let your feelings for them be buried... Rejection hurts but better than living in what ifs and regrets...
