Actually you were right on a lot of points too. I didn't realize it was from a book women about women, for women. That explains why its only women mentioned, but it could still be written with man-hate in mind. I don't know since I haven't read the book. Also, its just saying that a woman should be a living example of Christianity in order to attract a good Christian man, but the way it is put makes it sound a bit biased towards women in my opinion.
