At Oklahoma State University, each fall the start off the school year with a big party featuring live country bands, that amber collegiate beverage, and calf fries. It is often referred to as the (rhyming word here) Festival.
I think that it should be obvious that taking your date There should be "Verboten!" by the rules of dating & courtship.

(...really wanting this thread back on the rails...)
Another unwritten rule of dating (when younger) was If Daddy flaunts being protective, call him sir and get her in early, but now that we are older, and some of us dating again... how does one handle the parents of an adult who is living back with her parents?

"Antibiotics: 5000%"

????????
Most beef raised in the US comes from large cattle yards where cows are crammed into tight quarters. Since disease spreads easily under those conditions they are routinely given large doses of antibiotics in attempt to keep them disease free. Those antibiotics end up being stored in certain organs.

There are some in the medical field that believe that part of the reason for the rise in antibiotic resistant organisms is because of the large quantity of antibiotics that we consume in our meats.

*facepalm* 'Unwritten rules" ...so, basically, if you're following an act more than trying to make deliberate changes, one day you're going to blow your composure and reveal who you really are.

Don't get me wrong, as some of this seems like good enough stuff, but you really gotta be yourself, yo. If it's deep and realthus/she willl find out who you are eventually anyway. Put your best foot forward, and take things a step at a time. Trust me...planning evrything out and trying to follow a strict set of rules can help or harm you the same way as not doing so can.

Thanks, I did finally figure it out after thinking about it. We actually covered that in my nutrition class a few years ago. But now a certain someone might read that and figure out what RMO's really are!

It sounds like the “unwritten rules” is our own insecurities. There is no secret recipe!

I agree with just being yourself. I have heard a statistic (cannot verify this as fact) that what attracted you to a person at first will be the things that will irritate you of that person in the long run… a hopeless situation for somebody loving everything about their partner :)

I don't have an iJunk... er, iPhone. I have an Xperia Mini, the world's smallest android phone. So if I'm on a date I can answer as many calls as I get, cause it's not an iPhone. Right? Right? :D :D

Sorry... I know what you meant, but it was too good to pass up.

I don't think I would date anybody using an iToo phone. :p

Sorry, I couldn't pass an opportunity. (Mac or iPad is okay .. but iPhone? smh)

iToo? Clever! I never thought of that, but it fits. Many have bought iStuff - clear back to the first iPod 20 gigabyte - just because that's what everyone gets. That, or they get it because that's what Wal-Mart and Apple are pushing. They don't bother to look for something better.

Which is great for me, because it keeps the price of the better stuff lower. I don't have to pay as much for the good equipment as I would if it were in higher demand.

So let's write them already!

I was recently informed that it is a rule that after a date you wait two days before calling the person you dated. I'm glad I found out about that - I'm the kind of person I would have called her the next day. What are some other unwritten rules?

I expect we will take a few humorous side-trips in this thread, but the main intent is serious. Help some singles out here, what are the unwritten rules that we probably don't know about?
After a date I always give a girl about 6 months before calling again.

That seems about the right length of time for therapy and counseling before recontact.

: )

You don't need to follow those rules. If you really like the girl you can call her the instant you got home or the next day. Let's just say I'm the girl and you didn't bother calling me for two days or so, I would presume that you didn't like me or I did something wrong. That's just how I think. hehe.
