As a teen I labeled myself a metal head. As an adult I still do.

I was never really labeled anything by others in any sort of consistent way.
As a teen, where I think people are most likely to be labeled, I confused people too much for them to try to label me.
I was a Christian and a metal head, and especially in the 90s, those two things were typically seen as polar opposites. So people didn't really know what to think of me or how to label me. So they just didn't bother with me haha.
That goes for both church and school.
They have never heard of...

*Lynx crams a paw in his mouth to stifle a whole list of christian metal bands.

Never mind. People make too many assumptions and totally miss out on SO many good things because of it. Nothing I can do to stop it.

My mind is a scary place to be. 😬

This whole idea started with Lynx calling me Not a Nerd...

And of course, I had to prove otherwise. 🤪🤓💪

now, I really don't like using the X on the reactions but I REALLY want you to know how much I disagree with you on this.
Therefore I will refrain from putting an ugly
X on the reaction of your quoted post, and will just tell you here how
STRONGLY I disagree.
Oh, and by the way:

As a former member of the US armed forces I would say that deep down I am a warrior. Mission first, last, always.

Actually, on several occasions, you've called me The Worst thing anyone could call a nerd.

You called me - A Normal Person. 😳

I am many things.

But Normal is not one of them.

One only has to read my posts as proof. 🤪🤓😬

I have realized after reading the posts here that I’m a nerd myself. Not the computer kinda type of nerd, but merely a general nerd. That would cover the epicenter of my newly formed nerd status.😁

Actually, all of these posts from the "Last Person To Post Wins" crowd have been awesome!

I've loved seeing all the banter here!

Back in the day, THIS is what the CC Singles Forum used to be -- great discussions mixed with all kinds of inside jokes from long-running and/or other threads, good-natured teasing along with well-wishes, concerns, honest questions, and prayers. Knowing people well enough to remember enough about them that you could make posts directed at them or about them as a good friend.

Many of us old-timers -- say, anyone around 2015 or earlier, though I'm sure there are still a few here, but under different names -- have always longed to get that sense of fellowship back.

Here's to hoping we're on the right path to doing so, and thank you all for continuing to add to the fun. :)
