Hey Everyone,

It's that time of year again! Single's Awareness Day is right around the corner.

Now I have to admit--I can be fairly sentimental at times, and if I had a sweetheart, I would probably take the time to make him a Valentine card using all those cheesy candy hearts with which I could express just the right amount of lovey-dovey-ness.

However, since I don't have a special someone, mercifully, I can go back to being my normal cold-hearted self and enjoy candy conversation hearts such as these:

A few others I've seen are:

* "Bring Me a Beer."

* "UR Mom Still Loves U" (But she dresses you funny.)
Ok, so I added that last part. Actually, for me, I probably WOULD be more stylish if my Mom DID, in fact, dress me.

* "Platonic 4-Ever."

* "UR Creeping Me Out."

And, my personal favorite: "Which 1 of My Personalities Do U Like Best?" (You'd need a really BIG candy heart to fit all that on it...)

So, without further ado...

* What clever saying would YOU put on a candy heart made for singles?

(And for the record does anyone even LIKE candy hearts? If so, what are your favorite colors/flavors?)

Personally, I've always thought they tasted like chalk and would much rather prefer Brach's cinnamon jelly hearts or chocolate (purchased on the day after Valentine's for 50% off, of course!)

* What is YOUR favorite kind of (anti-)Valentine candy and/or anti-Valentine's Day tradition? (I knew a girl in college who always got together with her friends and watched horror movies in which the bodies kept piling up... )

Well, that's one way to do it. What's YOUR way?
What I would have put on a candy heart is "Beep", "beep" and "beep".

Haha

I have to agree about the chalk flavor. Even when I was a kid I never liked eating those things. Fortunately Dove chocolates also have cutesy little sayings inside the wrapper. Can my candies be made out of Dove chocolate?

My dog <3 me.

See now Tommy, the G-rated disclaimer was just for you.

We just wanted to see if it was even POSSIBLE for you to suggest something G-rated! ;)

(By the way, you get a gold star.)

All right, I might open the floor to PG, and if we're feeling REALLY daring, possibly PG-13 (I think the youngest teens we've had in here are 15, so they should be able to handle it), but anything rated age 16 and above, and I'm sorry.

It just might be Das Boot for you. :(

Proceed with caution.
The lines between G and PG are so blurred these days. I think of an old black and white movie. I get fresh with the lady, she slaps me, I grab her and kiss her, she reciprocates.
I want to skip to PG-13, go all high school.
Do some parking by the river.... watch the submarine races.
She might say "Submarine races! You can't see submarines.... they're all under water."

Dang, you're right.... since we're here, gimme some sugar baby.

Looks like you're way down in the NC-17 and I'm not talking about the state...lol.

NC 17..... when did some spit swapping go NC 17?

But I can skip the R, and get hitched ...... make it NC 17 then.

Last year I sent flowers on Valentine's day to a man that I liked and waited for far too long. He refused to accept them.

If St. Valentine has any magical power, he could use it the rest of the year instead. I haven't seen any result of his magic. I pray to God in the name of Jesus instead. No Catholic feasts here.... but it would be nice to get flowers delivered, though.

I don't think this counts, but it has love in it. This was my fortune tonight.

Well Tommy, I WANTED to "like" your post, and then I saw the last part.

And now I'm afraid I'll get banned if I give it a "like".

LOL.

I always have to invoke the "in bed" clause on fortune cookies. It seems like they were all written for it.

On a valentines heart candy I would put "You're sweet."

In 7th grade a stuck a Valentine in a girl's locker. Found it next period in the trash and unopened. That's the way it goes sometimes.

Nope never liked the candy hearts, but this year I've got a real heart for valentine's day (it's the pig heart I've been saving since last fall's farmer's market)

But if I were making cool sayings on v-day candy for singles:

2 awesome 4 u
I'm number 1
So over SO's
1 is the happiest number
One and only
Be me
Let me be
Chocolate's All mine
Peace and quiet
I saved by switching to single

OK some of those might not fit on candy hearts, but you get the idea.
