Deva, I was just reading your signature. I heard that saying a little differently:

"To err is human. To forgive puts lawyers out of business." :)

Compare the Gore lawyers during the Florida recount: the Gore lawyers were in favor of a recount in districts where it suited them, but used opposite arguments in districts where it didn't. What's the difference between lying lawyers and lawyering liars?

And don't worry: up here one of a past Canadian Prime Minister's henchmen was plugging his opponents' convention payphones with chewing gum.

They all seem as bad as each other.

A few other things I don't like:
- Slow walkers in grocery stores. I'm a leisurely walker when it comes to hikes and outside walks, but for some reason, in the grocery store, I'm a speedster. Get in, get what I need, get out. People meandering around irritate me. :)
I'm one of the people that annoy you.

CatHerder's shopping trip:
Going for some chicken and broccoli - gonna make a casserole. Sees the Napa cabbage looks really fresh and there is a sale on bok choy. Decides to do asian stir fry instead. Realizes that he can get stuff for both meals, even though this wasn't a "major" shopping trip. Goes back for the frozen broccoli, keeping options open if the kids want the casserole thing after all. The kids will opt for the asian stir fry if homemade wonton soup is involved. Gets won tons, pork, green onions...does he have chinese 5 spice at home? Yes, he does. Debates buying mushrooms. Decides to not get fresh mushrooms since he doesn't always get to cook his food right away and mushrooms are among the first veggies to go...decides to try the dried mushrooms that his friend recommended. Gets frozen shrimp for the stir fry and the chicken will go in the casserole later in the week as planned.

CatHerder leisurely zigs and zags throughout the store planning menus in his head, not understanding why the vein in Rachel's forehead is beginning to pop out...:p

I agree with Catherder. I don't like maple anything.
There is just something wrong with someone not liking maple syrup or maple sugar candy, it's even more wrong than not liking peanut butter with chocolate.

I love this stuff, but it's really expensive as far as candy goes

i don't like :

gum on the sidewalk
maple syrup
being peer pressured
people obsessed with trends
people being obsessed with technological gadgets
cheap plastic things made for no real purpose
match.com commercials
dating site commercials
job search site commercials
most all 'popular' music and movies these days
post apocalyptic movies and books
video games
vampire and witch and magic themed entertainment (movies, books, etc.)
waking up, some days.
knowing you need to do something, but not having the energy to do it.
feeling unmotivated.
blah, blah, blah ...hah

The smell of shrimp is awful.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: Peanut brittle. Nasty.

Raisins and fruit in foods they weren't made to be a part of(salad, savory foods, warm foods--yuckkkk).

Small teeth.

People who don't like weird things give me the chills.

Oatmeal raisin cookies are an abomination. They're somewhat acceptable when clearly labeled as such, but when they're just left out and I get excited thinking they are chocolate chip cookies and it's actually raisins...

I hate every manifestation of raisins. And Rachel is right... oatmeal raisin cookies are a dirty trick, probably invented by someone who enjoys crushing the souls of small children.

A weird one of mine:

I hate when people post lyrics/poem lines/quotes on Facebook without putting it in quotation marks. Like, that status is understood to be something IN YOUR OWN WORDS. I mean, I don't know every quote out there, and I think it's the person's own creativity. Not at least putting it in quotation, or giving credit to the author, could probably get you sued under copyright laws. I'm no lawyer, but I know that publishing something (and something written on your page IS considered published) that is someone else's words is VERY BAD.

indeed.

i'd include all dried fruit in that assessment (not to mention all the chemicals most of them have been bathed in).

except for maybe apple chips--i kind of like apple chips.

the other "fruit thing" that i despise is cherry pie/preserves/filling/topping. that's just ick.

they take a perfectly wonderful fruit and ruin it by drowning it that day-glow red sludge, then ruin good food with its inclusion.

also, i hate cherry flavored anything.

Khaki. It's not white, and it's not tan...it's khaki. Who makes in between colors of white and tan!

I hate artificial flavors.

Like I have friends who love grape, cherry, strawberry, what have you. It all tastes like plastic to me.
