+extremely slow talking, especially when accompanied with long gaps of space (i.e. searching for words). that makes me mildly crazy.

+platitudes

I don't have any patience for people who talk really slow. It might be prejudiced but I believe its because they think slow and therefore, its hard for me to take them seriously.

And platitudes are annoying, its like Christian buzzwords to me.

I don't like syrup on my pancakes. I either want just butter OR some sort of fruit topping.
i'm sort of that way too. i find syrup usually way too sweet, unless it's just a tiny bit. i'm totally cool with pancakes (or waffles) with a bit of butter and that's it.

i have these awesome strawberry-rhubarb preserves that i put on EVERYTHING, or so it seems.

unfortunately, they've been discontinued at my local store (they're a small, nw owned company) and i'm pretty sure it's going to be really hard to find them. : (

but my favorite way to make pancakes or waffles is to crumble bacon in the batter. : )

That is the way to do it right there.

You've got to watch it though as even some maple syrup's aren't legitimate any more (they'll say something like maple flavored, etc).

Reeds. And water lilies. When you're swimming in a murky river and you're getting fatigued and the bank is still a ways off... they start curling themselves around your feet, tugging on you... If you swim fast enough it could be enough for a few of them to snap at one of your limbs and momentarily drag you deeper. You imagine what else is awaiting your corpse in that bottomless pit. Perhaps it's crowded with fish carcasses and dead things. Or worse - a thousand pale eyes that stalk you silently, waiting to feed on the dead. It's like a million slender limbs slipping and sliding past you, tangling around your feet, and you don't know what - in the middle of all that filth - had just moved on its own. And the reeds never stop clawing on you and dragging you under.

I've learned the best strategy is to lay flat on your back in the water and keep all limbs on the surface while propelling yourself toward the bank. It gives them less area to wrap around as their long stalks can't reach - only their heads.

Not a syrup lover. Hate the flavor of maple. I'm more of a Nutella on banana waffles kind of guy.

This is true, REAL maple syrup hits the fake stuff outta the park. It took me a bit to get used to because it is different, but much better.

A few other things I don't like:
- Slow walkers in grocery stores. I'm a leisurely walker when it comes to hikes and outside walks, but for some reason, in the grocery store, I'm a speedster. Get in, get what I need, get out. People meandering around irritate me. :)
- Bruno Mars. I feel like most women my age think he's so wonderful, but meh.

I agree with Catherder. I don't like maple anything. I don't like caramel anything either.

I don't mind fruit flavored syrups, but would rather have the fruit.
