I just look for a man who treats me like a princess, works hard, cooks and cleans and takes care of the kids, telling them: I love how you make such a filthy mess, let me clean that up for ya. Then asks: dear princess, if you have finished your nap, what kind of sandwich shall I make you today? Serious, I had one older man who was interested and I said well I'm quite a slob actually. Oh that was no problem. When he was married he always worked and cleaned and cooked and cleaned up the mess behind his kids. No kidding. Man are you out of your mind? And he got dumped by his exwife.

I'm not looking for a feminist man, neither a control freak, just someone who's normal and who can lead me. My ex was as bossy as can be and we both hated feminism. Later I married the opposite, he said he was a feminist and we would do things together. Well I missed my bossy ex. At least he cleaned up and also cooked. Feminism had some good stuff because a lot of men used to be control freaks a century ago, but what I see now in Holland a LOT of times is that it's the other way around. The woman is the boss.

I think far too often the man mistakes being the "head of the household" for being a control freak.

so, Calmador....suppose that were your real name, as written on your birth certificate. Are you telling us that if someone spells your name Calm_dor, that it is a sign of showing you a deep respect and that it makes people more conscious about your name? I fail to understand how by eliminating a letter from someone's respected name, that it shows even more respect towards that person.

In the bible, the name of God, YHWH has no vowels. We insert vowel sounds to say it "YaHWeH," and even alter the consonants in translation, "JeHoVaH." This lack of vowels led to the Jewish convention of dropping the O when writing G-d, out of respect for the Father. While this convention might seem unnecessary, overly formal, or even a bit silly to non-Jews, it's not theologically HARMFUL.

If someone finds it meaningful to drop the O because it forces them to think of God in a reverent way, then why not? He wasn't advocating that everyone should do it...only that he finds it meaningful.

I think of it as a reminder of respecting G-d's name really. In a few words, the thought is what counts. I don't think the Bible says put a dash between G and d in God, but it does say don't take his name in vain. I take it as a reminder of that.
