I might need to brush up on my "catfish" skills.

Let's see...

A blonde-haired, blue-eyed NATIVE AMERICAN woman just sent me a "smile".

Oh yeah, she's 36, and she's looking for a man up to the age of 75.

Sorry, but none of that seems plausible...and this in on "ChristianMingle".

Are there any real (and desperate...lol) women out there?

This has always been one of my favorite songs:

 bleached at the salon?

 contacts?

:unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure:
:eek::eek:o_Oo_O

yeahhhhhhh, I've got nothing for that one.

Sorry.
I could tell you some funny stories from my last online dating fiasco, but I'll pass.

Does anybody tell the truth anymore?

Jesus does...and that's a major part of the reason why I love him.

hmm...can I ask why you are asking?

First thought: A partner

Second thought: a Co-host

Third thought: A helpmeet.,

I don't want a wife....nor girlfriend. Or even friends. I just want to be alone the rest of my life.

You see, I've grown accustomed to being alone. And I have no intention of changing. So yeah.

Under the category of "You can't make this :poop: up!", I offer the following.

So, I'm scrolling through my potential matches on a dating website, and who shows up as an 84% match with me?

My ex-wife.

Of course, she lied about herself on her profile, but...

Are you paying for this dating site membership? Can you demand a refund?

Maybe even a lawsuit is in order... You don't do that to a guy.

I mean I'm single, and even I know that.

lol.

No, I'm not paying for membership on that website.

I was thinking of calling her to let her know what happened, but I'm going to wait a few days to see if she checks to see who "viewed" her profile.

Anyhow, I "passed" on that potential match.

She looks pretty good in her photos, though.

Thankfully, our children got their looks from her...not that looks are the most important thing.

You might find this interesting, Lynx.

On this website, they ask you a whole bunch of questions in order to best determine your compatibility with other people there. Not only that, but when they give you a potential match, they tell you how many of your answers to the questions asked agree or disagree with your potential match.

Here is one of our disagreements:

Question: "Do you go to great lengths to avoid conflicts?"

Her answer: No.
My answer: Yes.

I rest my case...lol.

I dunno... I'd want someone different from me in certain ways. If we were TOO much alike, we would be redundant for each other. >.>

(I know that wasn't your point. I was just commenting about sites that try to match you with somebody as close to yourself as possible.)

I hear they actually did that in the Loki show. Loki met a girl version of himself from an alternate universe and fell in love.

I didn't watch it myself so I have no idea how it turned out... But I heard he also met an alligator version of Loki from yet another universe. Maybe that became the family pet.

Do you know what I truly find amazing?

Over the last few days, I've viewed the photos of at least hundreds of different women on different dating websites, and it never ceases to amaze me how God could make people look so distinctively different when they all have hair, two eyes, a nose, a mouth, and two ears.

I mean, you'd think that people would start looking alike after a while, but God somehow manages to make them all look different.

A quick and genuine question for any female member here who cares to answer...

So, I'm getting some PM's from different women on different dating sites. They all seem nice, but, to be honest, I haven't really been attracted to any of them so far.

My question is this:

As a woman, do you think that it's best for me to not even bother responding or should I politely respond even though I'm not really interested?

Believe it or not, I am a respectful gentleman, and I therefore don't want to be rude or inconsiderate.

On the other hand, however, I don't want to somehow show interest when I'm not really interested.

Suggestions?

I've answered some of them so far, and others I haven't yet responded to.

Any advice from a female's perspective would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I'm not a girl, but I have a suggestion:

If it's appropriate, could you post some of the letters they wrote? I imagine it would be hard for anybody to say "yes you should reply" or "no you should not reply" without knowing what the letter you're replying to (or not) is.

Of course it might be unethical to post their letters here. Or there might be no problem. Depends on what kind of letters they are.

There's nothing wrong with the messages themselves.

I'm mostly being contacted on Christian dating sites, so the messages are quite clean and friendly.

Problem is that I'm not really attracted to the women who have been messaging me.

As I've said before, it's very rare when I'm actually attracted to someone, and it's really more of an inward attraction than an outward attraction. It's impossible for me to put into words, so I won't even bother trying.

I was just talking to one Christian woman, and I did answer her three times politely.

I think that she discerned that I'm not really interested, though.

I wasn't rude or anything, but I wasn't my normal outgoing self, either.

Anyhow, I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings, and I'm just wondering if it's best not to answer at all...but that's rude in my book.

Maybe I should just buy a dog...

Hmmm...

Things just got VERY INTERESTING.

So, I saw this woman's profile on one of the dating sites that I recently joined, and I considered sending her a "like" on a few different occasions over the last two or three days. As I've said before, it's very rare that I'm actually attracted to a woman, but she definitely caught my eye. I decided not to send her a "like", and that was solely because I'm tired of dealing with fake accounts or "catfish".

Well, she "liked" me this morning, and I noticed it just as I was leaving for work, and I shot her back a quick "like" as well. When I got home from work, I sent her a quick message, and she responded.

To make a long story short, we just finished messaging back and forth for about two hours, and, on a scale of about 1 to 10, it was about a 777. In other words, it went remarkably well.

She's definitely a Christian, and she's intelligent, very funny, and also very kind. Not only that, she lives in Pennsylvania like I do...maybe about two hours away (or slightly less).

Quite frankly, the only thing that I could find wrong with her is that she likes me...lol.

We'd still be chatting if she didn't need to get up early tomorrow for church.

Anyhow, we'll see what happens, but she is really different so far than what I normally encounter with women, and in a totally positive sense.

Time will tell...

You're probably just being funny. You have a good sense of humor.
