Or wooden hangers. I also have fabric covered ones that are wrapped first with a bit of cotton fill. So pretty.

I try to avoid plastic when possible.
Now you're talking!

If we're going to beat subordinates into submission, we might as well do it with something pretty. :D

Bonus points for RECYCLED wooden hangers -- then we can say we're helping to shape young people's futures while reducing our carbon footprint, helping the environment, AND using only natural products all at the same time.

After all... These days, nothing beats being able to check of as many boxes as possible all in one shot. (y)

ok I havent read all the post so just responding to OP

People seem to forget that many men/husbands are ALREADY working from home. Because of lockdowns.

Not because they have lost their job or are sick. And NO the work they do is not 'watching tv' although, what they actually do on the computer all day may be anyones guess.

also busy housewives dont sit around watching tv.
There is way to much work to do for that. Besides daytime tv is usually dire.

Since it has been shown in Sociology, that the Infant from age 0 to age 6years, identifies most readily, and seeks attention, with Mother, your offspring will be emotionally stunted, hard to educate, and easily distanced from their own good.
Thanks for asking.

Since political detente is a biological instinct of males, who by biological necessity of rearing offspring, have been the only human creature capable of running a border for long periods of time, your political relations with your neighbors will strain, and fail, first becoming highly dictatorial, and finally becoming anarchist and murderous. But both of these replies are only out of Biology. Just because God may have invented us in this fashion, doesn't mean we can't just tell him he was stupid to do so.

I'm thinking this answers my question as well.

I was wondering if this post was made after reading the entire first post and at least a few replies. I'm guessing not.

This is something I often do with my threads. The question will come out one way but the introduction will present the true nuance of the discussion.

If the assumption is that this thread is pushing some kind of feminist agenda, it's absolutely not, as can be ascertained by reading at least the first few posts.

I understand my posts are long and many don't have the time nor want to read them, which is why I set them up that way.

All are welcome to answer, but there's always a stark difference between the answers of those who answer after reading the title and those who follow the conversation.

If by chance the first few posts actually were read in their entirety before answering, my apologies.

This is just a repeat of a post I put into another thread, but I'll cut paste it here.
Except that women are still allowed to make the choice, men are considered outcast by the males and the females if they don't work. And females are given expensive, very limited educational spots in Universities, to gain educations that, when given to a man in the past; would have resulted in an average of 35-40 years of increasing responsibility and service in the field, 8 days a week so to speak, and without concern for being in an office and its politics, and pains of getting up every single day.
Only now, the women taking these positions in the universities are quitting their "Careers" at 30 to raise children, or take a sabbatical, and because they know they need to be on hand for their children, instinctively, they are rebelling at the 5 day work week, and overtime, and loyalty to a purpose despite the office politics and getting up every single day.

So our labor-force is splintering under the weight of labor movements, and claims of "Exploitation!!" for wanting workers on site, as opposed to their own homes, and for wanting regular work hours, instead of whatever fancies "the empowered."

This will impact your home by showing up in a reduction of real wealth. You'll see reduced goods to complete tasks, reduced quality of goods to complete tasks, and, though you can't prove a negative in this case, a reduced amount of inventions to solve previously dangerous tasks or diseases.

If you prefer being a nation with fewer luxuries, more emotional strife, and danger on your borders, this House Husband thing should do wonders.

It took me a lifetime to finally figure out that this is not me, and even longer to try to communicate to my family that I am not one of those go, go, GO! - type people -- BUT, I AM happiest when I'm working as a useful, productive assistant to someone who is like them (a morally strong, hard-working leader.) I am more than willing to work my tail off for someone I believe in to the best of my abilities.

And I also came to realize that many men might not be type-A CEO's either, but are probably more than happy working and serving in assistant-type jobs and/or more domestic roles. Not everyone has to conquer some type of profession in order to do what God has called them to do.
For this to work out, one has to assume that the male A type personality is equally matched in number with the female Beta personality, and the Female A is matched with the Male Beta.
Further, this has to make claim that the male and female have the same spirit. Since the flesh is the home of the spirit, and our spirit responds to our flesh actions (prayer, fasting) the idea that male and female have the same spirit is not on my plate. Do they both have the Holy Spirit? Yes, in Christ, a believing woman and a believing man both are saved by the same Grace, and are viewed by God equally in The Kingdom.
But the earth is not yet to that place, and our flesh is not either. If we are carnal enough to desire sexual relations, then we are still involved enough with our flesh to have the weight of the curse of Adam and Eve at hand on our Flesh. This means, the male will still need to seek his bread against sun, thorns, and snake, and the woman will still seek her salvation through her offspring.
Can this be overcome?
Sure, but now you're not married, you're just friends.

I've read a few sci-fi stories covering this topic....

Women became the dominant head of household....a matriarchal society. Men became "toys" that women passed around and having nothing but momentary "comfort" to offer women.

As a result men went to excessive grooming to enhance either a rugged or some other "manly" feature but being as dumb as rocks...kinda. But women were always in charge and very predatory and scheming.

In the meantime society was somewhat chaotic....like the new 988 emergency line.

These are interesting thoughts to ponder.

Maybe my experiences are just atypical.

I have been in 4 long-term relationships in my life -- the 2nd resulting in marriage, during which he left for a girl we worked with, and the last 2 being so bad that it's kept me single for nearly 20 years. I decided I would rather be alone than repeatedly dealing with what I found in relationships.

One of the major issues I found every time was money, but it was always in reverse. The guys spent everything they had, often as a coping mechanism for emotional issues they were going through, and even though I was only working minimum wage-type jobs, I always wound up paying for them.

I've told this story often -- during my single years, I went to meet a guy I'd been talking to on one of the Christian dating sites who was an engineer. He seemed a bit disdainful of my rather humble work status. Funny thing though, we went to go for a walk in a park near where I lived (I didn't say where I lived, but that I lived nearby), and once he saw the neighborhood, his interest mysteriously turned around. Especially since he told me he'd just foreclosed on his house...

So as a woman, I understand some of the opposition men are finding, such as running into women who think they don't hold high enough-paying jobs, etc. And I know very well what it's like to be used as an ATM. I've had several guy friends who have all kinds of dating stories in which women tried to drain their wallets, but I've also known older women who have been proposed to by men who found out they inherited a house and/or money.

But I understand that not every man is built to be a CEO or silicone valley wizard, and yet he may have a plethora of talents to give -- part of the reason for this thread is to talk about the range of things singles have to offer, because it's not a one-size-fits-all. And the same holds true for women. The men I dated were terrible with money and would not accept that a woman might possibly be more educated within that realm, maybe because he assumed the leader of the household should also handle the finances.

I was debt-free up until a couple years ago when I had some things happen in my life; but God blessed me and helped me and I told Him I would pay a self-imposed (by choice) tithe on what He had helped me with as a show of thanks. It took almost 5 years, but now that debt is paid off as well. (Not meaning that our debt to God could ever be paid off; I just mean, God helped me complete what I told Him I would do.)

So one of my challenges as a woman is meeting a man who can believe in a woman who manages money responsibly (seeing as all my female friends are this way too, and we are all working towards becoming debt-free and possible retirement, if we're single for that long.) I would be thrilled to death to find someone to talk to who was well-versed in finances (as I consider myself to be only a beginner to mediocre, but I'm trying to learn more all the time in an effort to do the best what what God gives me.)

At the same time, I know men have a hard time finding women who are down-to-earth, relatable, and can accept them as they are, even if that means being someone who is never going to own a business or run a company.

It seems that Christian singles, both men and women, are both being forced into becoming increasingly more and more independent -- and perhaps it's made all of us a far too inflexible as to what we think we will tolerate in another person.
