The first thing I said to Tourist the first time we met face to face was...

You wouldn't happen to be looking for a ditsy Blonde would you? He replied well yes I would.... True story.
I definitely said "Yes".

Huh. Honestly I don't know if that's something I would air out here or anywhere beforehand. It's one of the reasons I stopped posting in the "Un-ruin a date/relationship" thread. I had a feeling that while it may feel good to say those things and have other people validate them, and to hear those things that might be said to you, those words should be reserved. As for the question posed in this thread, there is a wall, holding back a great river of emotion and those words initiate the launch sequence. I'll save it for when the time is right. ;)

This has to be some kind of mistake! I need a sign from God, your medical records, and financial statements. Unbelievable! I don't have time for this now, there is some loop hole out of this right? Maybe you would want to meet one of friends instead?

"Hi, it's nice to meet you...but you're too late. I don't care to get to know you, and even if you are sent from the Lord Himself and handing you your walking papers goes against His plans, He'll just have to take that up with me when I stand before Him. Bye."

If I were to some reason be single again, which could happen for any number of reasons. Anyhow hypothetically speaking, I'd say, If you think you were sent to me by the Lord then I seriously need some sort of proof, can you part the water or something? Been there felt that, dealing with it, bought the ticket and frankly I'm a little jaded.

IF that happened to me, I would probably tell them how I got the nickname Forest Gump, and then say vanessa carlton wrote a song saying she would walk a thousand miles to see someone, and I already have walked a thousand miles and havent found anyone. lol Then I would probably propose on the spot.

Hi everyone..as we single and many are trusting god to help us find a partner that will be right for us.Many years ago I actually wrote a poem that I would give to this special someone if I had met them..(it was a bit soppy and romantic)
I wouldn't give THAT poem to the now though as I have grown through life experiences and just like some out have have gone through bad relationship that God has rescued us from..'praise his wonderful name'.

Just think for a minute that God brought into your life someone they you knew was right for you and you also KNEW this was God ordained and you and this other person are now committed to one another unto go in a loving relationship.
Having finally met them having waited ect for a number of years..what would you want to day to them from the heart..having gone through singleness ect and knowing what particular things you had gone through to get to this place..what would you say to this god given soul mate,,chosen by God just for you?

I would look them in the eye and say
" I have waited long and hard for you.I have trusted god for you.I have been preserved by God just for you and finally now you are here in my life,It has been a long road,.but finally you are here!'

what would you say to them??

Jane Seymor & Christopher Reeves in "Somewhere in Time" - one of my favorite love stories of all time...
Upon their very first meeting:
Elise McKenna: Asks him: "Is it you? .... "Is it?"...
upon a subsequent encounter she says:
Elise McKenna: The man of my dreams has almost faded now. The one I have created in my mind. The sort of man each woman dreams of, in the deepest and most secret reaches of her heart. I can almost see him now before me. What would I say to him if he were really here? "Forgive me. I have never known this feeling. I have lived without it all my life. Is it any wonder, then, I failed to recognise you? You, who brought it to me for the first time. Is there any way that I can tell you how my life has changed? Any way at all to let you know what sweetness you have given me? There is so much to say. I cannot find the words. Except for these: I love you". Such would I say to him if he were really here.

If there was really such a thing as a "God chosen partner" that I'm waiting on in this life, I'm fairly sure she was hit by a bus.
