For those of you saying you skip showering to save on utilities, might I suggest you just take a cold one? They aren't that bad, and about a quarter of most people's energy bill is from hot water. No hot water means a lot less energy consumed.
A quick 2-3 minute cold shower isn't all that expensive and is totally doable unless you're a woman with long hair who has to wash it every shower (which would be funny because most of the women I've talked to with long hair don't wash their hair every time). You can even pulse the shower head off and on if you really want to be cheap about it. Going into work freshly bathed is worth the small financial expenditure.
Personally, I shower at night, and coincidentally that is also when I shave (shaving after a shower is the best time, or while in the shower). If I'm using a straight razor I wait until I'm out of the shower. If it's a safety razor (you know the old school kind that still isn't particularly safe) I'll use it without any lather right in the shower. No, I haven't slit my own throat, and yes it's worth the extra time.
For those of you who work out - I've got a tip for you. Make the shower after a work out a cold one.
On days when I work out, I make it a cold shower. It helps reduce inflammation without resorting to NSAIDS, and if I lifted really heavy it helps all those torn muscles heal faster (a lot less DOMS the next morning). I should point out that by cold I mean extremely luke warm, not ground temperature. Ground temperature at this time of year is... not pleasant, and usually results in cramping the muscles you just tore (and they had better be torn, because if not then it was a poor wokout).
