Hi everyone!

I have joined cc and I'm having problems loading the chat rooms! (It maybe on my end).

If you don't mind I would like to get to know some of you. I'm a single mother of a teenager. I am divorced. I am in my 4th year of study of Pastoral Ministry. (If you don't believe that female should be ordained in the churches then that you your right to have your opinion - But that is who I am). I live at a university campus - so internet is limited and I follow the same curfews of internet usage as the other college students.

I have a passion for outreach and evangelism and I would love to get to know some of you. If you have some time please leave a message and I can get to meet a few people though this forum.

Hi Rachel. I'm looking forward to a point when I can join you all in the chat rooms. But for now I have to settle for this. Thank you all for introducing yourself. It's nice to get to meet you guys even if it's not ideal.

Ugly - Alright.. The flannel is the warmest clothes we have. If you live on the East coast that is added to by the fashionable long rubbers, (for walking in the bogs); The lovely bright yellow rain jacket - Did you know that yellow is the colour of sunshine and cheer; that is topped off with a wonderful sow-wester (or rain hat). Keeps the chill out of the cold Atlantic wind with something on our heads.

As for the overgrowth of hair - Well that helps us all us single folks keep warm during the long dark winter nights, and it serves as camouflage to helps us blend in with those pesky grizzly bears. In our old age it helps us blend in with the Polar Bears.

All these fascinating facts about Canada - I bet you didn't know about these before. I'm so happy I can be so informative to my American neighbours.

And here all i thought Canada had to offer was Celine Dione and Justin Bieber.

Thanks everyone for taking some time to say hey! Still unable to get into the chat rooms!

Its Kinda funny I have to wait. God has put me on what I'm calling "Spiritual bed rest" lately. No it's not discipline but more like a period of refreshing. I'm in college as I mentioned before - But during the summer I've been working in Full-time ministry at a camp. I've been doing that for a while. But this summer was full of Spiritual warfare like I have not seen before. So upon my return to school this fall I have been talking some time to pray and be renewed. Good thing I did because now that I'm growing stronger spiritual I'm being attacked health wise. But God has got this covered as well.

I do have to go for surgery on Monday but I know God is going before me.

Anyway, this waiting to get into the chat rooms maybe part of the 'holding' pattern God has planned. Its nice to meet you all here and have some laughter mixed in. Thanks again for taking the time to respond to the post!

Hi there my name is Veronica, I am a 44 year old women, living in South Africa, is this worse than being Canadian???? I have two of my own children, and have run a safe house, foster house for lots of other children, but have closed it down due to the fact that we are wanting to immigrate.

Welcome to Christian chat, you will meet a lot of awesome people on here, myself included of course. Ugly is one of my favourite, he doesn't know it of course, but his dry sense of humour is something I really appreciate the Lord giving him.
