"The Meatloaf-for-Seoul Challenge."

Kind of makes it sound like a charity, just like The Jerry Lewis Telethon.

On second thought, after trying (unsuccessfully) to erase the traumatic image of Ugly's Meatloaf Baby from my head, I'm thinking such an event would be a great (and necessary) idea to raise funds for all the therapy I shall now require.

I just can't believe so many people here are fans of Meat-in-a-Pan.

Le Sigh.
Join the dark side.

Kim I have your back..meatloaf is soggy mushy meat, however spam thinly sliced and pan seared..crispy goodness
And here I was thinking, "Thank goodness. Chicks is here to save my bacon (quite literally)," and then I read of her love for Spam. :(

So. Much. Potential. :(

Everyone knows the only reason someone joins the dark side is for the cookies, and all I see are people offering me Meat-in-a-Pan and Opossum-in-a-Can (boy, would Dr. Suess ever be proud.)

If people started making me offers like this, then we'd be talking:

And...

Our own Lady Magenta swoops in the save the day.

All I need are a few more (dozen) pictures of cookies...

and I just might possibly recover from the sight of that horrible Meatloaf Baby.

That would be a rather jerky thing to do.
Just to beef up the thread?
I always like to joke that I have "Random Bouts of Temporary Dyslexia," which is NOT a cut to anyone who actually struggles with dyslexia, but rather, it's a reference to my all-too-frequent spells of airheadedness.

One day a co-worker bought a bag of beef jerky as a snack, but for some reason, my mind misinterpreted the label and read it as saying, "Beefy Jerks."

I told my co-worker, "Thank goodness! With 'Beefy Jerks' now available in convenient, on-the-go packages... I no longer have to go to the gym to find them."

And yet another thing officially crossed off my bucket list. :)

You did notice Magenta saying she also likes meatloaf.

And here's my version of the meatloaf baby.

So Kim, you like hamburgers and will even fight for your right to continue eating them... But you hate meatloaf? Double standard much?

There is more mystery in a fast food Burger than there will ever be in any meatloaf.
The meat loaf I buy (um, yeah, I do not make my own ) is not I repeat is NOT mystery meat :D It is made from high quality beef, pork, and LAMB, with itty bits of veggie goodness added :)

MY EYES, MY EYES!!!!

Oh, the terrible burning!!!

UGLY--TO THE NAUGHTY LIST. NOW!!!!

And indefinitely!!!

I'm thinking this thread also needs a Timeout Corner with a Chair... or rather (with all the Loaf Lovers in THIS thread), it's going to be more like a Timeout Auditorium.

Regardless, one thing is for sure--Mr. Ug has just reserved himself a permanent seat.

AT LAST!!!

And just like the Nimble Ninja that she is, The Voice of Reason, a Measure of Sanity, and My Other Half has finally arrived to this thread.

Sorry, Lovers of Loaves.

Pippy's Maple Bacon Cupcakes kick the tendons right out of your Formed Lumps of Loaf any day. :p

*Takes out the flamethrower and burns the deformed thing into ashes before it lays eggs while yelling incomprehensibly, throwing up in my mouth and sobbing uncontrollably, all at the same time*

You ARE a very, very good girl, Pippy.

Very, VERY good at all things culinary (and, she even shares them.) <3

But in order for her to share with you, you have to avoid getting put on HER Naughty List as well.

Fortunately, with so many self-proclaimed Loaf Lovers here, that's just going to mean all the less competition (and many, many more baked goods) for me. :D

Ground beef and ground sausage meet fresh diced onion salt pepper herbs and spices...a couple eggs...dab of milk...for tenderness...some ketchup worchester brown sugar...bake that and get just a touch of burn on that sauce...yum...and this is one way to make it...yet there are so many! Slap a slice between crispy super garlic butter french bread with a slice of melted provolone...

I'm shocked it took so long for somebody to post a meatloaf song. I wanted to do it earlier, but I couldn't find a good segway to post "I would do anything for love".

Zero saves the day though.

...and now I go to change my signature line. Again.
