No worries, mate. I'm only saying it because it's true.
Yes, it means you get Keith Urban. :)
I shall now do the Snoopy Dance of Joy :)

I wonder how they will react to your compliment...
Taylor, TORE has been here for a fair amount of time; as result, most of the women posting know his earnestness and kindheartedness fairly well. They're either going to react with earnest thanks, or not react at all. (I'm not sure, really, why a mass compliment of everyone's eye would produce a reaction.)

You might notice that people with high post counts (1000+) or a solid number of months of membership pretty much post without fear. Age also has plenty to do with it as well, as age can breed both fearlessnesss and/or wisdom. But in reality, it's just that the veterans have been here long enough that they know each, and know pretty well how the other vets here will respond. Jim (TORE) is in no danger, I assure you. He's well past the point of needing to tread carefully.

I, on the other hand, am using my wisdom and experience to keep my mouth shut in this case. While I could very well be as complimentary as the other men on this thread have been, I have been silent. Because I DO have the reputation of being a casual flirt (which I am fine with, since...well, I am), I know (due to my experience here) that some of them might feel less complimented and more flirted-with, making the compliment suspect. And women who are more or the newbie side (for example, Arlene and Pipp) might take my flirtatious compliments as an actual expression of interest, and I don't people to be misled. (Although I have interacted with Pipp enough that she probably would know better.)

The wisdom of what to post and how people will react comes with time and experience here. For instance, my wisdom is telling me that this probably should have been a PM, but I am on my phone, because my bed is warm and the house is not, so there's no turning back now. I suspect (and perhaps, am wrong in this) that you are treading very carefully, because when you first arrived in Singles, you had a misunderstanding that set a lot of veterans off; it's okay, man, you're forgiven, and cautiousness for a time is wise. In tandem, I suspect (and could be wrong) that you're concerned that TORE's comment might be misconstrued, and that's admirable. Rest easy, kiddo. Most of the girls all know he's a teddy bear metalhead (and the guys know, too).

So, Taylor, if you're on edge a little bit (which I suspect, but might be wrong), rest easy. Be patient, be cautious, be respectful, and you will be able to post fearlessly, as many of the vets do. It is the rarest of rare that a teenager ever fits in and is treated by the adults in Singles Forum as an equal; lil_christian has done so by being cautious, respectful, and patient, just as I have advised you. Be patient, young Christian soldier, and you'll quickly learn how to best fit in.

Just be prepared to be told that you're not allowed to date anyone until you're 30.

I really should get out of bed. Sorry , everyone .

Funny story, the first time I ever posted in the Singles Forum, I'd been on CC for almost two years (it took me a year to figure out how the forums actually worked), and I saw a forum posted by someone close to my age, and I decided to help her out with her dilemma.

I was VEEERRRRYYYY careful in my posting, because I thought people were gonna tell me, "Get out!!" because I was too young to be in the Singles Forum, that I had to be 18 (I found out later that was the Singles ROOM, not Forum.). I decided to keep my distance from the forum after that post until I was older. ...I failed. :) I found out you all were real easy-going as long as you're respectful and (mostly) mature. :) In fact I'm pretty sure was 15 like Alexis when I first started posting in Singles Forum. Thankfully, no one has said they regretted welcoming me (...yet). :p

But I also watched and observed the Singles Forum quite a while, and sort of got to see what the people in here were like. :)

This is what I looked like after.
Thank you for posting that!

It's clear that all the guys should post photos of themselves without makeup as well, here's me:

This is going to get my metal card revoked, but, I was reminded of this song. I see a lot of women who don't need that makeup to look beautiful in this thread!

I can dance here next to everybody
But I want to dance with you

I'm not Sophisticated
I'm not your average girl
I don't like to wear makeup
I like my matted curls
Do I make you feel Unstable
Do I put you in a whirl
Cause I do not fit your idea
Of a beautiful girl

Yeah, Yeah, yeah

I can jump in next to anybody
let me jump right next to you
I can dance here next to everybody
But I want to dance with you

You're so Illuminated
You're heat could melt the world
your so wraped up in plastic
You nip and tuck and twirl
Do I make you feel uneasy
Do I break your stupid rule
Cause I do not fit your idea
of A Beautiful Girl

I can jump in next to anybody
let me jump right next to you
I can dance here next to everybody
But I want to dance with you

I can jump in next to anybody
let me jump right next to you
I can dance here next to everybody
But I want to dance with you

We're all different
We're all strange
Who realy cares
lets just keep dancing

I can jump in next to anybody
let me jump right next to you
I can dance here next to everybody
But I want to dance with you

I can jump in next to anybody
let me jump right next to you
I can dance here next to everybody
But I want to dance with you

Ha, thank you. Made it myself. :) The shirt, not my eyes. God made my eyes.

I spent half the time trying to read your shirt.....

And i just kept seeing 'High School Musical' DVDs in the background....

You guys need to post with plain backgrounds so that those of us easily distracted can focus.
That is the whole point. It's a test, you see? ;)
