No. You know what else she probably didn't do? Brush her teeth. Shave. Wash her hair. Clip her toenails. Wear deodorant. I could keep going...

;)
[h=3]Ephesians 5:28-29[/h]King James Version (KJV)

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

Does make up nourishes the flesh no it does not

Way to scripture twist and take out of context to support your ill founded logic!

Lets look at the full context of this scripture. Not isolate scripture to suit our agenda...

[SUP]25 [/SUP]Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
[SUP]26 [/SUP]That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
[SUP]27 [/SUP]That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
[SUP]30 [/SUP]For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
[SUP]31 [/SUP]For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
[SUP]32 [/SUP]This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
[SUP]33 [/SUP]Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Oh. Look. It's not a commandment, its a comparison to make a point about how a husband should love his wife. Ooohhhh... that whole silly context thing. Lets look at another wording, just in case it wasn't clear...

[SUP]25 [/SUP]Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her [SUP]26 [/SUP]to make her holy, cleansing[SUP][b][/SUP] her by the washing with water through the word, [SUP]27 [/SUP]and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. [SUP]28 [/SUP]In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. [SUP]29 [/SUP]After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— [SUP]30 [/SUP]for we are members of his body. [SUP]31 [/SUP]“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”[SUP][c][/SUP] [SUP]32 [/SUP]This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. [SUP]33 [/SUP]However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

My poor, poor thread...

By the way...
If you ("you" being anyone that feels this way) personally feel that wearing makeup goes against scripture, then hey, guess what, don't wear it.

Love this post but I think Eve would've washed her hair, just not with shampoo and conditioner. Just water.

i never said this says not to wear make up

does makeup nourishes the flesh ?
You're still taking scripture out of context. The question is irrelevant because you're basing the question on a misuse of scripture. You want to ask questions and get respectable answers, you need to bring a respectable stance founded on something besides faulty logic supported by out of context scripture.

Also, Ruth. Posting everything twice doesn't do anything to support your argument. Nor does avoiding the accusations.

If you want to argue, perhaps start your own thread where you can use your weak argument. This was a positive thread up until you chimed in.

I swear, its like some Christians think you have to make people unhappy to look spiritual.

And you know this from your scripture twisting false logic? I've seen you troll other threads and start arguments. I'm done with you.
